@nanotech Sainz jr was vying for a 1, he almost killed multiple drivers. Vettel did worse than Stroll. Latifi’s crash was not on Stroll. Stroll crashed during practice but that is not that unusual, he weaved late […]
Jere commented on the post, Should F1 and its teams lift the cap of 24 grands prix in a season? 5 months, 3 weeks ago
@nanotech @RocketTankski @S I doubt the budget cap gets increased, so effectively a non-option.
Everything, including rotation, is easier said than done & something like 40-45 would mean nearly nonexistent off-season.
@nanotech it’s free to register an account, which makes it all the more curious why some people who come year after year haven’t done so.
Jere commented on the post, F1 expects Brazil GP freight delay will not affect race 10 months, 2 weeks ago
@nanotech Keeping the previously scheduled USA-Mexico-Brazil triple & placing Qatar on the weekend before SA was an option & would’ve been even if Brazil stayed on UK’s Red List, but this alternative option got […]
John H commented on the post, Vettel backs call to abolish unrestricted speeds on Germany's autobahns 11 months, 3 weeks ago
I think the ring needs to have an overhaul of the safety system @nanotech or some way to warn drivers much more in advance. Something placed on the dash, or something triggered by someone watching cams. There has […]
Zero sympathy for someone getting attacked on social media for making an unpopular but correct decision by the rules @nanotech? How cold are you. At least acknowledge it was difficult to make it knowing the […]

@nanotech finding a gap in the calendar, in Spa’s schedule and indeed in the far worse Belgian autumn for one race without weekend around it? Good one.

@nanotech Balue is clearly refering to other wet weekends, Monza, Turkey etc.
Rhys Lloyd commented on the post, AlphaTauri keeping faith in Tsunoda after "unlucky" qualifying crash 1 year, 3 months ago
@nanotech it really just seems like a regulation for the sake of having a regulation, doesn’t it? It’s basically: “The driver didn’t use the artificial advantage we gave them, so PENALTY!”
@nanotech F1 Tech Tuesday column says it puts the brake balance nearly all the way forward so that the front brakes can generate lots of heat during safety car periods, to put that heat into the front tyres (the […]
Robbie commented on the post, Why the Azerbaijan GP was stopped for Verstappen's crash but not Stroll's 1 year, 3 months ago
@nanotech, yeah. I could understand if they built the track after the houses but when the racetrack was there first I cannot fathom how these lawsuits have any leg to stand on.
Same thing happened here in my […]
@nanotech In part, it’s because Indycar varies the race distance per event. And those have changed partly to give the fans more value for money but in some cases it was to prevent fuel milage racing. Take the race […]
@nanotech I agree.
Some would call this heresy, but I’d like to see refueling allowed only at some events, probably low-deg tracks like Monza and Monaco. I like the strategies you get with refueling, and I a […]
Balue commented on the post, Verstappen should have won in Bahrain but Hamilton was smarter, says Vettel 1 year, 5 months ago
@nanotech Of course it was. With Verstappen alone with 2 Mercedes it was the usual strategic advantage that won the race.
Robbie commented on the post, F1 won't introduce two-day grand prix weekends – Domenicali 1 year, 5 months ago
@nanotech Possible of course. Let’s see how the numbers go as the lockdown takes effect and vaccinations ramp up. The race is 8 weeks away yet. Good point about the ticket refunds but I don’t know that that has […]
Robbie commented on the post, "Support from all parties for a new qualifying format at some races" – FIA 1 year, 7 months ago
@nanotech I don’t expect with the wholly new technical regs to still see cars having to hang back by 2 seconds just to keep their car performing well. That is the whole point of the reg changes and since they have […]
