nick—0 commented on the post, Symonds explains how F1 is solving the problems posed by its sustainable fuel goal 2 weeks ago
One fuel supplier will ace it and their fuel will be more energy dense, then the car will be lighter and they’ll win. It will just be one more technical barrier stopping the drivers winning by their talent. I […]
nick—0 commented on the post, Injured Stroll to miss pre-season testing 1 month ago
The McLaren was basically broken though with their brake problem and so the runs were short, so it wasn’t as physically challenging as it could have been. Cycling seems to be one of the worse things an F1 […]

I wonder who had to actually write this thing. What a total waste of time. I’m sure they had a miserable time doing it.

Max has excellent english, but I’m wondering if he hasn’t actually understood what Ted was saying, or didn’t actually fully watch the clip.
This is such a nothingburger.
I’m guessing that Max saw a partial […]
nick—0 commented on the post, Alpine have "done a pretty bad job" not to be further ahead of us – Norris 6 months, 2 weeks ago
He’s just saying it like it is. No revelations. He’s always plain spoken about the car’s performance.
nick—0 commented on the post, Should Formula 2 test sustainable fuels before they are introduced in F1? 7 months ago
The thing I don’t want is for teams in F1 to have different fuels, and that the fuel is a competitive advantage. I think I am right in saying, but might not be (someone tell me if I’ve got it wrong), that Pat […]
nick—0 commented on the post, Would McLaren be right to drop Ricciardo for 2023? 7 months, 2 weeks ago
Totally agree. Going back to Alpine may actually be just the right thing for his career. He’ll have a large pay off, be in a competitive car that is currently arguably better than the Mclaren. If the Mclaren has […]
nick—0 commented on the post, Mercedes 'not close enough to Ferrari and Red Bull to really fight them yet' – Wolff 7 months, 2 weeks ago
Perez’s recent performances, and Ferraris blunders have put them closer recently as much as the car getting better. I rate the Hamilton and Russell combination as the best one on the grid.
nick—0 commented on the post, "No concerns" over flexibility of Red Bull's floor – Horner 8 months, 2 weeks ago
I don’t see why.
If you can get the floor to bend at speed (higher aero load) then presumably you can use that technique to bend up part of the floor at speed to allow more air flow through to stop the […]
nick—0 commented on the post, Rival teams exaggerating concerns over porpoising to get rules break – Horner 9 months, 2 weeks ago
Teams are not allowed to run their windtunnel at the air speeds necessary to induce porpoising, and there is a strong budget cap that reduces the possibility of part experimentation.
It’s not quite the same […]
nick—0 commented on the post, 'I'm hoping this is as bad as it gets but it might not be' – Norris 1 year ago
The 2009 Mclaren started off rubbish, and then became a race winning car. That was a bit different though because it was a lot to do with KERS messing up teams development that had it. Then those teams caught up […]

You just have to wait for testing. One way could be better than the other, or they could be 2 solutions that produce the same end result. It’s impossible to say currently unless you have a team of […]
nick—0 commented on the post, FIA indicates Masi may not continue as F1 race director 1 year, 1 month ago
He should be paid more money, and then promoted to a job with a great sounding job title that isn’t anything to do with making decisions in Formula 1 or live races.
nick—0 commented on the post, FIA to reveal findings of inquiry into Abu Dhabi restart row in February 1 year, 2 months ago
Also apart from the other 2 responses from Neil & @jimfromus, Sainz WOULD have been a factor in the last lap. You see 3 way fights all the time. If the driver 2nd in a 3 way fight dive bombs the leader to try and […]
nick—0 commented on the post, McLaren confident there's "more to come" from Ricciardo in 2022 1 year, 2 months ago
It was a weird season for him. I 50% buy the car adaption thing and 50% don’t. Ricciardo made his name beating Vettel. Vettel was beaten massively by Leclerc. Sainz was about the same pace as Lando, Sainz was a […]
nick—0 commented on the post, Radio messages reveal how Ricciardo made the "black and white" tyre call Norris missed 1 year, 6 months ago
It all depends where he was in the lap when the transmission happened. If he was in a braking zone or a difficult corner then it was Will’s mistake and an understandable outburst. If he was going down a […]
nick—0 commented on the post, Monaco Grand Prix is "never exciting" and format must change, says Hamilton 1 year, 10 months ago
They could mandate more than one pit stop. That would give greater overtaking opportunities.
They could have 2 shorter races. The first 7 and last 7 laps are good at Monaco. The rest is boring apart from the pit stops.
nick—0 commented on the post, As regulation trumps innovation again, will F1 ever produce another breakthrough? 1 year, 10 months ago
It’s a difficult one. Without restrictions Formula 1 cars would be nothing like they are. They would have entirely covered wheels, a canopy, and the driver would be virtually lying down and wearing a G-suit. There […]

I think they should consider mandating 2 stops for the super hard to overtake race tracks. Barcelona, Imola, Monaco. Those type of tracks.

My wacky idea for the future of F1:
Because electric motors are so responsive they could use a standardised ECU to equalise the torque levels of the power units in […]
