Paul commented on the post, Teams split over need for fourth engine if 2020 calendar reaches 22 races 3 years, 6 months ago
What exactly is the need to be so limiting with engine allocations? Is it purely for costs or is there another reason?
It’s a shame teams have to save engines and get big penalties late in the season for using […]
Paul commented on the post, Return of ground effect in 2021 to make "massive" difference to overtaking 3 years, 6 months ago
Unrestricted is probably the wrong word to be honest, more like ‘higher fuel flow limit’. I’m just sick of this fuel flow limit and lift and coasting. It’s less of a problem now but I don’t know why they ever made […]

Really great steps.
I would like to see refuelling (lower total weight and another strategy dimension), slightly stricter cost cap, tyres without a cliff, shorter wheelbases, unrestrictive fuel-flow limits. […]
Paul commented on the post, Why Brawn expects teams to resist F1's "very prescriptive" plans to limit development in 2021 3 years, 6 months ago
Most of this sounds great. Along with the ground-effect aero plans that were revealed recently, it seems it will level up the field, in racing terms anyway. It seems it will be more attractive to manufacturers […]

I let out a hearty laugh when I saw this. Here we go…
Paul commented on the post, Seidl: "I think the number has to be a lot lower" on F1 cost cap 3 years, 7 months ago
In my wildly unversed opinion, I think he’s right. 175m seems too much for the sport to be sustainable. I’m fairly sure the smaller teams don’t reach nowhere near that figure in terms of operating […]
Paul commented on the post, Zandvoort banking will make tyre pressures "painful" – Verstappen 3 years, 7 months ago
Good shout, Daniil! Let’s make a good corner, if the pressures have to be high, so be it. If it means less grip on other parts of the track, great, more unpredictability and sliding about.

Paul commented on the post, Will Ricciardo still be smiling after his first year at Renault? 4 years ago
I’d agree that ‘Since 2014’ means it was in 2014 when last won

Magnussen deserves a higher ranking that this.
Paul commented on the post, Rate the race: 2018 Brazilian Grand Prix 4 years, 2 months ago
I always laugh when I get on this rate a race page because it seems people give a race 1, 2 or 3 points above what it should be. For what a GP can be at its best, a 10, and what this race was, a 7, it’s ludicrous […]

Paul commented on the post, Q3 tyre rule under discussion after claim it favours top teams 4 years, 3 months ago
Wouldn’t this be alleviated if the gaps between the top 3 (RB, Ferrari & Merc) and the rest, was shorter?. Then the midfield teams would actually be a threat to getting 2nd row or even pole, forcing the top 3 to […]
Paul commented on the post, Year away gave Kvyat chance to "regroup" 4 years, 3 months ago
It’s funny, I had almost no desire to watch the Russian GP. Boring track, boring time in the Championship, Russian foreign policy is disgraceful as usual. I didn’t watch it and it seems I won’t regret it
Paul commented on the post, Wolff doubts plan for three-car F1 teams will win support 4 years, 4 months ago
Under the assumption the third car wouldn’t score Constructors’ Points, the only aspect that I can think of that torpedoes the idea of 3 car teams is that if only some of the teams (We know which ones definitely […]
Paul commented on the post, British viewers will get free-to-air F1 race highlights in 2019 4 years, 4 months ago
Depends on the weekend, action, current affairs, but it can fluctuate from an hour to 1:45 for a whole race including pre + post race coverage, I believe
Paul commented on the post, Wolff: Let top teams run third cars for young drivers 4 years, 4 months ago
You’d need all teams to run 3 cars to make it fair, no other way. If the 3rd car doesn’t get points, they can still be used as blocks.
