@oscar Massa is one of the luckiest f1 drivers in the past 20 years. You are right but you are forgetting that eventually Lewis is going to take penalties for PU components.

@oscar Hungary 2006? Probably the best first lap ever? Nurburgring 2007 and Malaysia 2012 come to mind too. Not to mention the two wet qualifying sessions in Silverstone and Hockenheim.

@oscar I agree, but the engine suppliers always have to option to work on their engine if they feel its a reliability issue… Renault have been doing it with their V8s

Sure, but Lotus’ options didn’t include a driver, who could just hop in to the car and start performing on Romain’s level.
