South of France wouldn’t be too bad in April next year – Paul Riccard for the 1000th race?

As an Australian I’ve always liked the (normal) 10pm race start time for the European races, means I can have a full weekend and then the F1 race is the cherry on top. Would love more races in this timeframe.
But […] -

This is a great question – they definitely need a robust second screen option, I don’t want to be locked out of using live timing on my phone/tablet if I’m streaming the race on my TV.
Would be really powerful to watch the main race feed on TV and then to follow a particular driver’s onboard on a second screen, with live timing on a 3rd. -

Which commentators are they using?
What kind of historical content will be available, full races, race summaries or highlights? -

It took over two and a half hours to get back to KL Sentral from the track.
Am I just spoiled by having been to races with easy trams in Melbourne, or did something go wrong today?
The shuttle bus from the circuit to the station was nearly an hour in itself. -

Looks like I’ll be going to the Malaysian GP this year. Really looking forward to it.
Any recommendations on where to stay while in town for the weekend? -

When was the last time a kart race ran on the support bill to a Grand Prix?
I remember watching SuperKarts at the Aus GP in Adelaide as a support race.

@thecollaroyboys
The other part that’s really difficult is there is really poor advertising of what race is shown on Foxtel and what’s available on Ten.
Can’t say there’s any logic to the races that have been chosen, would have thought Ten would have wanted the Malaysian race given it’s at prime time in the eastern states…I just can’t…[Read more]

I’m going to Friday’s sessions solo, so if anyone feels like catching up with another F1 Fanatic I’ll be walking laps of the track, so happy to meet you wherever

Completely agree with the COTD.
With Australia mimicking the UK’s free to air/pay TV mix this year I’m almost certain that I’ll end up streaming races again. $600 + install fee is a lot of money when I’d only […]

They won’t release the full race on YouTube unfortunately, V8 Supercar stopped releasing full race videos after the introduction of their online streaming service V8SuperView.
It’s a subscription service, but races are at least available on demand there if you’re outside Australia and NZ.

From memory that race was only red flagged once as well.

Is this the first sponsor watch article?
I like the idea and hope to see more of these, but it’s also somewhat of an indictment on the current state of F1 that we need to have such a series of articles too. -

I see @Paeschli ‘s point. Peraltada really isn’t all that different to any corner on an oval circuit. Surely there’s other ways of making it safe without neutering the corner.

The standing start was the official race start, and while the cars sat on the grid for an hour it was effectively just 1 safety car lap. Unlike previous Lap 1 red flags the first start wasn’t annulled.
