I guess you could find the foam going everywhere quite amusing, but I was sick to my stomach when I saw that because they don’t have rollcages or helmets or anything really. Cause was diesel spilt at the top of paddock hill bend from one of the trucks (not the one that rolled). Took about 10-20 minutes to get the foam cleared up, about 45 in total to fix the tyres that were damaged from the rolled truck.

I would have liked Shedden to win, he deserved it more than anyone else on the grid. Naturally Silverstone was never going to suit the NA cars so Plato’s chances were always going to be slim.

A good season but a great shame about everything that got in its way- we would have had a much closer finale if everything was equal, but we can only hope for next season…

dailysportscar.com is an online endurance magazine, if you want to pay. Probably the closest to here. Otherwise all I can really think of is autosport, although obviously they mainly cover F1 so options are quite limited….

@olliekart Saw it on BTCC forums, also the ‘Muller’ is clearly photoshopped and I don’t think Chevrolet would let him join Honda for a race…

I think the car being used for the stunt is the one with Neal written on it

Good joke by honda though, it is actually the car which will be driven on 3 wheels by Terry Grant this weekend.

@ratboy There must be a reason for it. Muller has no commitments this weekend, Honda want to win the championship…nothing stopping them bringing a 3rd car to stop Plato

I think last weekend proved something people don’t seem to be understanding: naturally, different circuits suit different cars. That is the way it always has been. Brands GP suits the Chevrolet (also the car was using a WTCC setup for the hot weather) and that is why Plato dominated race one and two. It was not a case of the turbos and NGTC cars being pegged back, they would have struggled anyway.

At Silverstone it will be a different case- if it stays dry, the Hondas will breeze past on the national straight and the NA cars will be able to keep up through the corners. There is clearly a lot of work to do next year and hopefully everything will be sorted.

I still agree with ballast though, really mixes up the races.
