Renee commented on the post, Sargeant wants track limits enforced in practice sessions after Q1 exit 2 months, 1 week ago
There’s no big “special track limits rule” here. The problem is, he crossed the pit entry line, which is a track limit line. Due to the track layout, crossing that line on a timed lap is beneficial in Saudi […]

Renee commented on the post, Which F1 team has the best-looking car for 2023? 3 months ago
I’d gotten so used to the new cars over the last few years, to the point they started looking good to me. Until I came across the picture of the Sauber C32. Damn the cars looked good back then. Much simpler and […]

Renee commented on the post, "Not a strong day" for Mercedes after handling woes and hydraulic failure 3 months ago
I’d rather have a fast car with problems, than a slow car with problems. Problems can be ironed out or mitigated. Making a slow car fast, is much more difficult. Considering how easily RB are cruising to top of […]

Renee commented on the post, Mercedes says return to black livery is all about saving weight 3 months, 2 weeks ago
You think the paint can’t really weigh any substantial amount, but when you use around 4 liters/roughly 4kg of paint to paint the car, it is quite obvious how you add weight without any gain in performance, rather […]

Renee commented on the post, Ferrari explain why they denied Leclerc his request to be let past Sainz 6 months, 2 weeks ago
I think you are mistaken. I haven’t missed a race since 2010. Have seen all kind of treatments towards different drivers in teams, but cannot see which of their current driver gets even the smallest preference in […]

Renee commented on the post, Rate the race: 2022 Mexican Grand Prix 7 months ago
Haha, actually true, come to think of it. FP3 looked like we were set for a good fight.
They should go way softer for the next year, to force more unpredictability and more pitstops for this race. -
Renee commented on the post, Rate the race: 2022 Mexican Grand Prix 7 months ago
So it was an above average race for you? How? Only if you happen to be a Ricciardo fan I guess. In the top 6 nothing happened the whole race after the first lap. There’s always overtakes in the second half of the […]

Renee commented on the post, Verstappen passes Hamilton to win US GP and constructors' title for Red Bull 7 months ago
Didn’t even imply that Alonso was leaving Alpine due to a falling out or some friction that he could be blamed for. Just that, what ever the reason, the timing seems to be very unfortunate for him. Like Brundle […]

Renee commented on the post, Mercedes' victory chance ended when Verstappen passed Leclerc – Wolff 7 months, 1 week ago
About braking later and speed difference. Yeah, because the red-bull (in the hands of Max) is 0.5 sec/lap faster than the Merc, so the car enables him to do that. And I hardly doubt that Lewis was surprised here. […]

Renee commented on the post, Mercedes' victory chance ended when Verstappen passed Leclerc – Wolff 7 months, 1 week ago
It was clear to most people with any sense that Max had much better car at that stage, including on the straights and he would overtake, whichever way Lewis forced him.
If Lewis went for the inside, Max could go […] -

Fits the mold really for Alonso. Just as the car is getting good, he leaves for another team. That has been the case far too often with him sadly.
Not a fan of his, per se, but damn he is good on the track. […] -
Renee commented on the post, Television broadcast gave "nonsensical" impression of Sainz radio call – Ferrari 10 months, 1 week ago
It was obvious that it wasn’t a message from 10 seconds earlier and they didn’t treat it really as such. But you could hear from Sainz’s voice telling the team to shut up, that he was all ready in a fight and […]

Renee commented on the post, Television broadcast gave "nonsensical" impression of Sainz radio call – Ferrari 10 months, 1 week ago
A true live team radio would be mostly pointless. The TV crew doesn’t know ahead of time what any team would be talking to their drivers about and would mostly be airing team radios of little to no interest to the […]

Renee commented on the post, Tougher tests for F1 roll hoops in 2023 after Zhou's Silverstone crash 10 months, 2 weeks ago
Carbon fiber is strong but brittle. They can’t make the roll hoop itself out of carbon, because it would shatter to dust on impact. It needs to be more flexible, to maybe deform a little, but still stay in one piece.

Renee commented on the post, Mercedes explain why Russell was given older rear wing instead of Hamilton after crashes 10 months, 3 weeks ago
Weird, I seem to remember some teams moaning about the transport cost they can’t afford. Just some instances over the years, not this year particularly. Also as I remember, each team has their own trucks and […]

Not from the UK or the US, to me Hamilton is the 2021 WDC.
Most of the ones that don’t have a problem with the title being taken from Lewis, are Dutch (as your username suggests you are as well), or just […]

Renee commented on the post, De Vries muscles past Mortara at start to win second Berlin EPrix 1 year ago
Does this FE car remind anyone else an F22 head on? Don’t care about FE, their previous cars looked boring as well. This looks cool though. Not like F1 cool, but a different kind of cool.
I wish F1 had come up […] -
Renee commented on the post, Mercedes 'need more grip and more power' – Hamilton 1 year, 2 months ago
I don’t know what reality you live in but the world feed specifically showed a replay of Hamilton communicating with the team saying the Mclaren is slowing down (anticipating a VSC/SC) and the team then telling […]
