This lists – Bianchi as 22 and Chilton as 23. But that order seems to be reveresed in the picture. Am I missing something?
@aish – Watch the onboard from Massa’s car and if you still believe that Massa lost it because he tried to avoid Webber let us know. From what I believe Massa was furious about the pervious corner(in which they made contact?), which was the reason he ended up making donuts in the next corner.
Regarding the second incident, MSC was trying to pit and Vettel was trying to overtake on the outside, more importantly no contact was made. Regarding the Raikkonen incident it happened in Monaco when Sergio trying to pit, closed the door on Raikkonen which cost him a place to Hulkenberg, which might have warranted stewards decision to handle a penalty to Sergio.

There are some positives, some negatives. I didn’t have the best start, and not the best first corner but then it was quite an interesting race. And obviously a big challenge at the end of the race. I was physically destroyed, I remember that as well. And I knew that I had a lot to do – but I knew as well that’s what I want to do in the future. Sitting here 100 races later is quite crazy in a way. I think if the number gives you anything, it’s just that you don’t realise how quickly time goes by. With the season so closely fought, I would wait a bit longer before choosing my favorites for the championship. Afterall in a season like 2010 and by the Belgian GP, Mark Webber and Lewis Hamilton were the ones at the top of the championship and we all know how it panned out.
I’m with PM on these proposed suggestions. Agreed changes are needed, but their implementation will cause even complex issues. And a F1 race cannot be used a test bed for what failures that may occur in a real race situation unlike a crash test where the tests are performed n a controlled environment.
While a roll hoop will not prevent a piece of debris from hitting the driver a canopy will obstruct a driver’s exit in case of emergency. Consider the Ricciardo and Caterham accident in Valencia where a not so fast side impact almost toppled Ricciardo’s car. And every time a car topples we will have a helpless driver at the mercy of flags and fellow drivers. Also the option of having a safety switch to open the canopy from the outside doesn’t protect the driver, in case of an accident in which the switch itself gets hit, worst damaged and doesn’t function or accidentally opening the canopy midrace.Having the same steward in the panel will expose favoritism which is worse than awarding inconsistent punishments.
Vettel will never win a race by coming from behind, because no matter what his car does not have the straight line speed to breeze past any other car, barring Caterhams and below. Over-takes don’t happen in the corners, because as evidenced from Valencia the lead driver can just run you off the track. One thing the current season has proved is that you can only push as far as the tyres allow. The fact he had a 20 second advantage and only pitted on the same lap as Grosejan means he is a better driver, not that he had a better car. Controlling the gap means he has a reserve potential, again not a better car.

And just when he becomes a championship contender, its all down to the car, pretty lame to assume thatConsidering that Vettel hasn’t a) brake tested anyone b) lied to the stewards c) blackmailed team for number 1 status using ingenious ways d) claiming to be a minority when at fault e) whined consistently how everyone else is against him winning in a public forum – I don’t think he is as bad as you are trying to make him look. @pamphlet – While I can understand your self-righteous decision to question Senna’s ’90 championship, for ’88 it was – ‘Only best 11 results counted toward the championship.[4] Prost scored 105 points during the year, but only 87 points were counted toward the championship. Senna scored 94 points, with 90 points counted toward the championship by virtue of winning more races. Thus, Senna became the World Champion, although he did not score most points over the course of the year’*. How can you put the blame on Senna when the rule is like that?
