Jason commented on the post, Massa draws fire for "blinkered and inaccurate" comments on IndyCar safety 4 years, 9 months ago
Considering it took F1 10 years to respond to Felipe’s own incident (and arguably haven’t solved it) and Henry Surtees while Indycar is already working on a solution to J. Wilson’s crash and on a far tighter […]

Jason commented on the post, Ferrucci confirms return to racing in IndyCar following F2 ban 4 years, 9 months ago
I am not sure what everyone was watching at Detroit that weekend, but he was not more impressive there than in F2.
He ran at the back most of both races and was a total non-issue. He was involved in taking […]

Does anyone also remember how a random Merc mechanical issue like a tyre failure means there’s a conspiracy theory working against one of their drivers? (according to this site at least)
I haven’t noticed any […]

Jason commented on the post, Final-lap crash decides Daytona 500 after closest-ever NASCAR finish in support race 5 years, 3 months ago
Bruh if the only thing in life that has brought you joy in life is watching auto racing crashes I actually kind of doubt whether you’re a serious motorsports fan.
I mean it’s okay if all you care about are […]

Lol I noticed that too “Guilty knowledge” is the phrase needed I believe. They knew it was a poor way to win but their idiot fans will love anyone using the number 3, can’t go and spoil that now can we?

You have just learned why I refer to NASCAR as “lowest common denominator” racing.
Well… “racing”. I should really drop that word from it.

He said just after F1 agreed to “sponsor friendly” body work.
Guess it’s not all based on speed now, is it?

Jason commented on the post, F1 gives "no consideration" to drivers from other series – Bourdais 5 years, 4 months ago
I mean if you’re going to convince me gems like Yoong, Karthikeyan, Ide, Maldonado, etc… that made it to F1 are somehow better than drivers like Dixon, Helio, and Power just because they bought their way in then […]

Jason commented on the post, Strategy Group to discuss separating car and driver weights 5 years, 4 months ago
Wouldn’t this have the opposite effect though?
Separating driver weight would actually hand an advantage over to whichever driver is the most light weight, putting increased focus onto being as lightweight as possible.

Jason commented on the post, Rate the race: 2017 Japanese Grand Prix 5 years, 7 months ago
Only reason this site won’t give this race a lower rating is because Hamilton is winning.
I give 3/10.
Over after the first corner, made more miserable knowing the rest of the season is pointless to watch now.

Cool showing by Hamilton, but say hello to a boring race tomorrow. Not sure I’ll even watch, qualifying basically decided the result.

Is it not a thing for sports journalists to be impartial?
I’m Canadian and I know it’s considered highly disrespectful, even at international competition, for sports commentators and journalists to break […]

Jason commented on the post, Vote for your 2017 Azerbaijan Grand Prix Driver of the Weekend 5 years, 11 months ago
Bud qualifying is just qualifying. I know this is driver of the weekend but the money session is the race, and Ricciardo won.
I base 80% – 90% of my vote off race performance. Qualifying doesn’t mean much.

Jason commented on the post, Ricciardo beats Bottas, Stroll to win chaotic Azerbaijan GP as Vettel, Hamilton clash 5 years, 11 months ago
Ricciardo binned it in qualifying?
Yes. But that was qualifying. Arguably the best drivers are ones who can put that behind them when it matters most.
Sure you can argue Verstappen would have won without […]

I’m confused by all the people who
1) Say they didn’t like the race.
So you prefer the parade we had last year?
Don’t like all the wrecks and breakdowns? That’s racing. Breakdowns and crashes happen. If […]

Well hey welcome to the year. I’m sure Bottas was already told the highest he’ll ever finish all year is second. It’s a shame, why even send out two cars?

Jason commented on the post, Hamilton hopes "nothing mechanical" affects fight with Vettel 6 years, 1 month ago
It’s impossible to know how last year would have turned out without Hamilton’s engine failure in Malaysia.
Honestly I felt like Rosberg held back from challenging his teammate in the last 4 races since he only […]

Honestly mechanical failures are a part of racing. I’d be more disappointed if a few didn’t happen over the year.
