Well here goes again, I have already tried replying once today.
The point of my thread was give different subjects for people to have a laugh with and see what ideas they could come up with.
I think you have a good idea there with technical innovations, but restriction how much they can spend could cause problems.
Technical innovations cost a lot of money to implement. I would say look at how much companies charge teams for the parts they supply, Brakes, suspension rods etc…27th July 2013, 1:18 at 1:18 am #23910726th July 2013, 17:01 at 5:01 pm #23910526th July 2013, 15:22 at 3:22 pm #239103scunnymanParticipantI had a crazy dream last night.
I was at a F1 race and saw a completely black F1 car, with no livery at all. And it was driven a big a really tall guy all dressed in black with a funny shaped Black helmet. The guy had a very raspy voice and kept asking everybody to come over to the dark side.
When he removed his helmet there was nobody there…………….24th July 2013, 3:35 at 3:35 am #239102scunnymanParticipant@pH When i talked about Telemetry i mean that as 21st century F1 should be about technology and not about controlling the drivers cars. I totally agree with you abo true drivers being able to think for themselves and not need to le on the teams to guide them. I’m sure in years gone past teams would not dare try and control the likes of Mansell, Senna and Prost.

Thanks Jon. I hear where you are coming from, though my bullet points are just a starting point for fun discussion. I would think my team in charge of F1 F.I.A would make sure the teams can send information etc… but not to control the car from the pits.

16th July 2013, 20:37 at 8:37 pm #239087scunnymanParticipantPlease describe how you would run F1?
Most teams now spend appoximately $300m not £300m and they have to pay for Everything. My way they don’t pay for engines or tyres or gearboxes or pretty much anything on the car.
As for engine suppliers, what rules would put them off
As for not running the sport for very long, as i said right at the beginning i would be mega rich, with so much money i could run F1 as a hobby.
I’m glad for your input, please give me more.
16th July 2013, 20:19 at 8:19 pm #239085scunnymanParticipant@f199player. Why would I struggle?

Thanks for ur comments m8
I should have been more detailed with each part. I would be mega rich and pay for all the tyre/tires myself so no extra cost to the manufacturers or the teams.
As for the pit button idea, same again i should have been clearer. The button is for each driver so the teams would know it was webber and not vettel, as would the race director. I feel too may teams have their guys in the pits when they are not needed, and get in the way and it is not safe.
