Sihrtogg commented on the post, Analysis: How F1's flexi-wing furore reached its endgame 6 days, 6 hours ago
Why are moving aero parts banned in the first place? I think it’s really neat technology.
Perhaps you could even have a dash switch to set the aero parts for clean air or dirty air? Maybe that way a car that is […]

Radio Transcript is my favourite part of RaceFans.
Another great one, thanks again @keithcollantine !

yes, he parked it in the Mirabeau run-off with Hamilton behind having to slow down for yellow flag
and then gave an interview to the BBC with a magnificent smirk on his face haha!

That is an amazing story, thanks for sharing.
And really clever from Senna: the fastest way across the line is if you can’t complete the corner like you normally would.

Youngsters don’t like to watch cars ‘pass by’; they want to be in the car, like their racing heroes, they want to see the same viewpoint as in their video games.
If you want more […]
It’s not about pole, it’s about leader of the race on the first lap. We all agree the start is exciting.
My father only watches the start until lap 3 usually, when there’s the replay of the start. Then he goes […]
If I watch live I tend to either fall asleep or spend most of my time looking at my phone.
This is why I prefer watching the 1-hour summary by Channel4. They cut out all the dull parts of the race, and you miss […]
Sihrtogg commented on the post, Inconsistent track limits rules confusing for fans, say drivers 2 months, 1 week ago
So effectively, when two drivers are in a battle, the driver in front is allowed to go off-track to maintain position, while the driver behind can not use that part of the track to overtake? The car behind is only […]
If Verstappen is serious about the title, Bottas is irrelevant, the only thing that matters: finish ahead of Hamilton.
Red Bull didn’t respond to the first Mercedes stop, afraid of Bottas taking advantage of a (V)SC when he goes long, but in the title race that doesn’t matter. If you’re Verstappen and you’re going for the title, […]

While you may be statistically and principally right, I think it’s not so much a matter of reducing risk, but reducing liability…
Imagine making the call ‘no problem, leave the car there’ and then somebody […]

I think it’s time to abolish IP altogether, considering the pointless exercise of these legal teams ‘just doing their normal job’ around the world around the clock…
I think Vettel playing bumper cars in Baku should be an immediate DQ for that race. Immediate action always works best and is clearest that such behaviour is not tolerated. Getting 6 points and then a few more […]
Sihrtogg commented on the post, F1 polls fans on replacing qualifying with 30-minute reverse grid races 8 months, 4 weeks ago
Combine these ideas! Have qualifying and race on the first weekend, then reverse grid on the second weekend. We won’t get robbed of qualifying at the venue, and we get a direct comparison.
Sihrtogg commented on the post, Farewell to Sir Frank, Claire, and the era of independent F1 teams 9 months ago
What exactly is an independent team and how is Williams, now that is sold, any less independent than it was before it was sold?
Sihrtogg commented on the post, Why Hamilton queried his 10-second stop-go penalty in the Italian GP 9 months, 1 week ago
If you stay within the delta you are allowed to do this. If the team did it right, they kept Sainz on one extreme of the delta and Norris on the other extreme and were able to create a gap for the double stop. […]
