Tristan commented on the post, Perez on pole, Verstappen ninth as Leclerc crash ends qualifying 1 month ago
“If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it” is the common argument given by this website when they bring up the topic of Qually formats. Will they, or for that matter F1 itself ever admit that one driver being able to ruin […]

Tristan commented on the post, Miami GP win would make Perez a true title contender – Button 1 month ago
Don’t know, Perez nearly binned it when he touched the wall. Only luck got him this win, he’ll need a lot more of it if he’s going to mount a challenge.

Probably what they want, mixed up orders make great races.

Tristan commented on the post, F1 confirms new standalone sprint race format including half-hour 'Sprint Shootout' 1 month, 1 week ago
This makes no sense, as if not do the sprint race qualifying on the Friday, then the grand prix qualifying on the Saturday after the sprint… Then use the finishing result of the sprint to determine the […]

Tristan commented on the post, As Hamilton checks out touring cars, what's our favourite motorsport outside F1? 1 month, 1 week ago
If F1 eSports count so must TrackMania! If you think 1 second is close, TrackMania races are often decided by the tenths. Over ten thousand people compete in the daily cups and the same people usually end up in […]

Tristan commented on the post, Alonso has another six years in him, says Fittipaldi 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Well in a way he did. At the very least he was mentally checked out. There’s only so many times you can be told “you are wrong, we are right, do it out way” by an employer before wanting to leave them. Especially […]

Sausage kerbs need to go! Enough is enough! FIA is fast becoming known for their frequently inadequate actions.

Tristan commented on the post, After 25 grands prix, has F1's ground effect revolution improved racing? 1 month, 2 weeks ago
I voted yes, don’t really see that 1.5 second gap that cars can’t close any more, they need to get rid of DRS to be sure. Annoys me that they will “experiment” with sprint races and qualifying, but not getting rid […]

Tristan commented on the post, Ferrari offered me Raikkonen's race seat before Red Bull demotion – Kvyat 1 month, 2 weeks ago
I was late to comment on the article so I’ll repost here for visibility: I feel like fans that complain about the current tyres and tyre strategies are a vocal minority. I’d bet F1’s data from surveys of the […]

Hahah riiiight Kvyat, tell him he’s dreaming. It might have been a discussion but there is no way he would have flat out declined a serious Ferrari opportunity.

Tristan commented on the post, FIA's 'very little tyre degradation' target is still too much for Michelin 1 month, 2 weeks ago
I feel like fans that complain about the current tyres and tyre strategies are a vocal minority. I’d bet F1’s data from surveys of the audience like the excitement that stems from the current arrangement of pit […]

Tristan commented on the post, Australian GP restart decisions showed FIA has 'learned from the last few years' 1 month, 2 weeks ago
It was better, but it still wasn’t “right” the roll back of positions was the weirdest and most confusing part.

Tristan commented on the post, Magazine criticised for 'exclusive Michael Schumacher interview' generated by AI 1 month, 2 weeks ago
I smell a lawsuit… It’s one thing to experiment with this kind of content, something else entirely to sell it as words coming from the man himself. Precedent needs to be set that this is not okay.

Tristan commented on the post, All F1 teams back plan to change sprint format for Azerbaijan GP – Vasseur 1 month, 4 weeks ago
Qualifying on Friday for Sunday is dumb… Why not do qualifying for Saturday on Friday, then do the qualifying for the main race after the sprint. Makes too much sense I guess.

Tristan commented on the post, Verstappen: Red Bull reliability essential if title fight is between our cars 2 months, 2 weeks ago
Of course, from a driver perspective the last thing you want is a championship to be lost on mechanical failures. But at the end of the day that’s racing. If the drive shaft snapped again as he was pushing for […]

Tristan commented on the post, Mercedes "have more performance in the locker" for coming races – Russell 2 months, 2 weeks ago
I’m quietly excited for what we might see from Mercedes in a few races time, it’s a hopeful quote from Russell and McLaren have been humming the same tune of performance to come. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing a […]

Tristan commented on the post, How Red Bull handled Perez and Verstappen's scrap for fastest lap in Jeddah 2 months, 2 weeks ago
Perez had it right in that there was no need to push. Max 33, 33 Max, target 33 confirm… Max continues to pump out 32’s. *sigh* okay 32.6 please Checo. It’s clear who’s telling who what to do. Actions speak […]

Tristan commented on the post, FIA invites tyre manufacturers to bid for F1 supply contract from 2025 2 months, 2 weeks ago
I’d love to see a new supplier, would make for an interesting season or two as teams figure out how they work. With the limited testing it would be a serious challenge for teams data collection and correlation […]
