@danielh Brawn doesn’t count. Jenson won 7 of the first 8 races but didn’t win again. Rubens 2 wins came after all of Jenson’s, at Valencia and Monza.

Malith, not even close.
Schumacher has 306 starts total from 308 entries vs 161/163 for Senna. From around double the number of starts, Schumacher has just 3 more poles (4 if you include Monaco 2012 where he […]

MAyrton, the toxicity from Silverstone 2021 was arguably triggered by Dieter stomping around the paddock claiming that Lewis tried to kill Max and demand a race ban. That overstepped the mark.
skydiverian commented on the post, Deliberate crashes "not regular" but F1 needs new rule to stop them – Sainz 2 months, 2 weeks ago
If you’re gearbox slams shut and causes you in a spin, I don’t see how that’s a drivers fault for “be able to keep the car on the track.”
The problem there is that I can see team principles taking full adva […]
skydiverian commented on the post, Hulkenberg seals F1 return by joining Haas for 2023 2 months, 2 weeks ago
@paeschli We’re talking about a driver that’s had plenty of chances (9 full seasons, 181 starts) and just hasn’t delivered anything exceptional. He was only just beaten by Sergio Perez on points over their 3 […]

Without Masi, Max would not be champion.
Perez holding up Hamilton shouldn’t have been a factor in any way with the result had the rulebook been followed correctly with the race finishing under yellow as it […]
skydiverian commented on the post, Rules on points for shortened races to be changed after Japanese GP confusion 3 months, 1 week ago
I assume it’s to end awarding half points or any fraction of a point. While we thankfully haven’t had anything as extreme as the 1954 British GP where 7 drivers scored 1/7th of a point for the fastest lap (which […]

The one above? Or “I’m trying to get some points for my Super License” at the end of the racer.com interview he did after the run….
Which I think can be interpreted as a slight against the FIA points system […]

But it’s pretty annoying that the FIA is not publishing the numbers
That’s the key. For all I know Max could have won 2 championships that he doesn’t deserve, but without numbers I have no idea as to whether t […]
skydiverian commented on the post, Cranes on track during F1 races "cannot happen anymore", say team bosses 3 months, 3 weeks ago
You’ve missed that Gasly had around 2 seconds between the red flag being waved and coming across the tractor. Combined with his speed being within the safety car delta prior to the red flag, of course he’s going […]
skydiverian commented on the post, The old and new problems which added up to another farcical F1 title-decider 3 months, 3 weeks ago
It still remains the case though that the rules weren’t correctly followed as the safety car in this lap message shouldn’t have been displayed until all lapped cars passed the safety car…. and the FIA then gave […]

You would get the advantage of Race Control knowing exactly when the message was given though.
Can’t think of any specific examples (Lewis at Monza in 2020 maybe) but I’m sure there have been incidents where […]

The red flag was waved 2 seconds prior to Gasly passing the tractor. And define too fast – I’ve read elsewhere that he was driving under the safety car delta until the red flag was waved. And considering the red […]

At least try full wets. MichaelN in the Live commenting page made an excellent point regarding all cars starting on inters to save a pit-stop rather than full wets when it looked pretty obvious that they were […]

That’s irrelevant. Tractors should not be on the track under any circumstances unless all cars are moving at reduced speed behind the safety car. Otherwise we’ll have a repeat of Jules Bianchi’s accident.
On […]

@dkor it’s an offence that tends to come up for people arrested in protests.
Public nuisance is the charge as the victim is the general public – fans at the event and people watching at home. It’s used when the […]

skydiverian commented on the post, Information overload? Which motorsport series has the most effective TV graphics package? 8 months ago
The problem with the F1 graphics is the overuse of AI predicted “stats”, such as the tyre wear graphic. It just feels like an excuse to get another sponsor slot with a brand new graphic.
