smiggs commented on the post, F1, IndyCar or just WEC for Alonso in 2019? 3 years, 12 months ago
I’m assuming at least one more season in F1 in 2019 as the clashes between WEC (to which he is already committed) and Indycar would make racing the second Le Mans impossible without missing races in Indycar. I’m […]

The celebrities in the Royal Box are there for the satisfaction of the sponsors not because they paid.
smiggs commented on the post, Late start to 2016 season causes Australian GP clash 7 years, 1 month ago
In 2014 they managed to clash the British Grand Prix with Tour de France with the largest free sporting event in the world passing through Yorkshire, it probably didn’t affect attendance much but tv viewing figures were down.
smiggs commented on the post, Teams agree to fifth engine for 2015 7 years, 3 months ago
Your aware of course that it’s not just a cost issue, the engines are supposed to be reliable. If I’m buying a car then the engine needs to last more than one Grand Prix length.
smiggs commented on the post, Ecclestone considering championship for women 7 years, 4 months ago
The current formula which seems to advantage lighter drivers should suit women, when compared to previous eras when upper body stength was key but yet there are very few women at levels even close to F1. If the […]

Lotus’s cleaner for 2014 Maureen brings sponsorship from Domestos however it appears Doreen is bringing big money from Cilit Bang so although Maureen had a sparkling 2014 we all know it’s a money game and with […]

Or other teams have started to realise that there are only so many Red Bull seats and that’s it’s worth keeping in touch with no matter who their main sponsor is.
smiggs commented on the post, No three-car teams before end of 2014 – FIA 7 years, 9 months ago
Agreed Audi would essentially have the pick of Sauber, Marussia, Caterham, Lotus and even Force India if they wanted to buy a team but they could also have partnership with Williams who they already worked with on […]
smiggs commented on the post, Ten-man FIA panel to examine Bianchi crash 7 years, 9 months ago
An independent inquiry would take a lot longer, FIA need a relatively short investigation so that any recommendations can incorporated into next year’s regulations without disadvantaging or incurring large costs […]
smiggs commented on the post, Alonso hints at "obvious" plans for 2015 7 years, 10 months ago
Hang on I think I can obviously link him to every team:
Alonso would obviously stay at Ferrari because he obviously has a contract.
Alonso would obviously go to McLaren-Honda because they are paying the […]smiggs commented on the post, Alonso hints at "obvious" plans for 2015 7 years, 10 months ago
Button’s body language says he doesn’t have a drive next year, it amuses me that none of the bbc or sky pundits seem to want to call the obvious reasons, even Eddie Jordon who ‘predicted’ he would leaving McLaren […]
smiggs commented on the post, All eyes on Honda's role in 2015 driver market 7 years, 10 months ago
Mercedes’ advantage comes from how engine and aero design went hand in hand. McLaren now have that opportunity, I wouldn’t count on it for 2015 afterall Prodomou only started work a few weeks ago so his influence […]
smiggs commented on the post, Prodromou begins Red Bull departure 8 years, 4 months ago
I suspect McLaren will keep the same driving lineup for next year. Button is an experienced hand and trusted by both McLaren and Honda, given they are taking a big risk with a new Honda engine I don’t see them […]
smiggs commented on the post, Prodromou begins Red Bull departure 8 years, 4 months ago
Long term FIA don’t want a formula dominated by one engine supplier, there is a freeze on engine development during the course of the season but for 2015 they are allowed to make the design changes necessary. Even […]

Surely if they think Perez can’t be consistent enough then sticking Magnussen in the car would be daft – if they want Magnussen F1 ready I would imagine he’ll find his way into the FI or Maurussia reserve drive […]
