@spencer 2021 was the first year in the entirety of F1 existence that a cost cap existed. All the dominant Newey cars were designed with virtually unlimited funding. Either from Williams, McLaren of RedBull.
@spencer It sounds like it was longevity of the tyre that was a concern, they could have either kept 3rd with high chance of blowout or take certain 5th with FL. Blowout would have not only resulted in no points […]
@HoHum commented on the post, Dad told me I was going to be a bus driver, not a world champion – Verstappen 3 months ago
@spencer, true, but how else do we recognise that some (many) still categorise peoples ancestral background in a positive or negative way? Words that become accepted descriptors become unacceptable once they […]
@spencer yes I agree that it was the final big advantage they had left which allowed them a better aero base and one that RBR had never managed to beat. It was also why their low rake concept actually worked […]
Ben Rowe commented on the post, F1's first Miami Grand Prix gets "nine out of ten" from Wolff 4 months, 3 weeks ago
@spencer Florida doesn’t even make the top ten of the most affluent states in the US, and no city in Florida is in the top 25 richest cities in the US. To call it the most affluent place on the planet is a joke. […]

@spencer it’s little more than “Europe is better”. They’re still a tad upset that America beat the Brits for independence, then managed to equal them in terms of “literature” and manage to care little for […]
@spencer No one can step in on such a short notice. However Renault, RB/Honda and Ferrari can produce some more engines of course. In fact they must do so by the rules. And the huge damages Merc will have to pay […]
Porsche and Audi step in
You have no idea what it takes to build a factory in a matter of months do you? Nevermind the fact that the VW group considered entering during this hycrid period but pulled […]
@spencer you must be relatively New if you believe any F1 contract is worth more than the paper it is( probably still) printed on
This is exactly what I was about to say.
PMI have calculated the cost vs benefits of being associated with Ferrari even if they dont necessarily have direct brand presence in the public view. […]
petebaldwin commented on the post, Nothing I can do to stop fans booing Hamilton, says Verstappen 1 year, 1 month ago
@spencer – It’s only F1 where booing is viewed as unacceptable in the UK. If you look at football, they’re the only nation to boo any other national anthem.

@spencer Very cool.

@spencer good point, we’re not comparing like with like. I’m sure the teams have clawed ball some downforce but this track is not a fair way to judge it. However, stuff like wind direction air and track […]
Jere commented on the post, Despite rules complaints, Aston Martin are only 0.07s slower at Imola 1 year, 5 months ago
@spencer The zone isn’t massively longer than last time, so it doesn’t really have an impact, therefore, irrelevant to note.
Good point there @spencer. Bernie certainly knows his way about that!
