John Martin commented on the post, Verstappen given three-place grid penalty for Hamilton crash 11 months, 1 week ago
I’ve watched it again, and he was more than enough alongside regardless of what the stewards say. If his front wheel was even with Hamilton’s rear, then sure, he’s not entitled to be there. His front wheel was […]
John Martin commented on the post, Verstappen given three-place grid penalty for Hamilton crash 11 months, 1 week ago
No, I didn’t read the stewards verdict. I can clearly see it on the video.
John Martin commented on the post, Verstappen given three-place grid penalty for Hamilton crash 11 months, 1 week ago
This incident looked a bit more Hamilton’s fault to me. Verstappen was far enough along side Hamilton to have a right to be there and Hamilton didn’t give him quite enough space. However, in the wider context, […]
John Martin commented on the post, Formula 1 presents first full-size model of 2022-spec car 1 year, 1 month ago
Count me in with minority who likes the new wheels. The wheel covers remind me of a Porsche 962 or tarmac spec Sport Quattro. They help tone down jarring look of those hooptie style 18″ wheels.
John Martin commented on the post, F1 rejected "more equal" ways to cut car speed in 2021, Aston Martin claim 1 year, 3 months ago
Show me an article where they complained that the low rake cars were being treated unfairly, prior to their 2021 cars running on track. I’ve not found one.
John Martin commented on the post, F1 rejected "more equal" ways to cut car speed in 2021, Aston Martin claim 1 year, 3 months ago
Yes, they only started complaining once they realised they got the news regs wrong.
John Martin commented on the post, No alarm bells at Aston Martin over Vettel's troubled debut for team 1 year, 4 months ago
There shouldn’t be any alarm bells at Aston…. Vettel has been slow and cocking things up fairly consistently for a few years now.
John Martin commented on the post, Analysis: AlphaTauri's curious decision to decline a 'free upgrade' for its 2021 car 1 year, 5 months ago
I may dreamt or assumed this…. but I thought AT didn’t use the high rake concept that RB uses, one of the reasons Gasly does better in an AT as the downforce is less peaky apparently. The rear suspension and […]
John Martin commented on the post, 2020 F1 driver rankings #9: George Russell 1 year, 6 months ago
Bottas should be ranked worse than Russell, no question about it.
John Martin commented on the post, Pictures: Alesi and Armstrong make F1 test debuts for Ferrari 1 year, 6 months ago
Several articles from early November said he was fired from the Academy. Feels like a goodwill gesture because his results are marginal.
John Martin commented on the post, "It's a day I will never forget": Sainz begins life at Ferrari 1 year, 8 months ago
It’s a bit like owning a boat, the best days of his life will be his first and last day at Ferrari.
John Martin commented on the post, Mazepin's "extensive testing programme" at Mercedes won't include young drivers' test return 1 year, 8 months ago
From what I can tell, it’s a private test programme, so I guess it is paid for by Mazepin? He’s not completely hopeless, so if he gives some feedback, and pays for the privilege, that may be worthwhile even to a […]

You’re gonna need a bigger car.
John Martin commented on the post, Albon: We couldn't have done much better than sixth 1 year, 8 months ago
I have a hard time believing they would pick the Hulk over Perez, even before today. Maybe Perez doesn’t seem confident because RB are genuinely waiting until the last round to make a decision.
John Martin commented on the post, Albon: We couldn't have done much better than sixth 1 year, 8 months ago
Maybe I missed something, but why is Deletraz having a swipe at Haas? Both Schumacher and Marzipan (admittedly not by much) have better results, never mind who’s dad has the better name or more money.
John Martin commented on the post, Ricciardo to discuss Grosjean crash coverage with F1 as Vettel says more "respect" is needed 1 year, 8 months ago
There was absolutely nothing wrong with the way it was handled. Vettel and Ricciardo are sportsmen and their enormous salaries are able to be paid because of sponsor and manufacturer’s exposure to fans and the […]

….by the family, that is.
John Martin commented on the post, Vettel: 'It's a shame Michael Schumacher can't witness Mick's F1 debut' 1 year, 8 months ago
He seems to be stating what most people suspect about Schumacher’s condition, but has never been publicly stated as far as I am aware?
John Martin commented on the post, Vandoorne says he has "a chance" to replace Hamilton as Russell is linked to seat 1 year, 8 months ago
Unless Mercedes want to get a better picture of the performance of their young drivers and Bottas to plan for the future. Stoffel is not the future of Merc and frankly given how he performed against old man […]
