I loved the way Jenson simply moved out to the way to let the faster car go by and save his tyres for later in the race but this championship in now only about building a car to save the tyres and thats all wrong, F1 should be about racing not tyre conservation, save the whale not the f1 tyre.

Never a fan of Webber but as a person who always likes to see fairness i do now get the feeling that something is not right within the team, perhaps only when Christian Horner has been sacked will we find out from him just how much of this apparent ” bad luck ” was actually bad luck for Mark or controlled by the owners of the team.

I hope when we look back in a few years we will laugh at todays championship were the car and driver who could look after the tyres on the car was so much more important than the actual racing, at the moment its should be renamed the “F1 tyre saving championship” and next there will be a charity setup to ” save the F1 tyre”.

What is clear is that if we must create artificial conditions like DRS or tyres that last only four or five laps then F1 is in deep trouble and heading in the wrong direction, Much like football only the teams with the highest budgets can win on a regular basis and anyone trying to take them on will end up bankrupt or worse. It would seem that only the drivers with the highest profiles could ask for F1 to look again at the way forward but then if they win on a regular basis then why would they bother.
It would appear to me that the sport must restart from somewhere in the past when the races were truly worth watching and that must be when the budgets were much lower and the aerodynamic effect was much less important otherwise the future will be more and more gimmicks and artificial racing and ultimately less and less viewers.

If a driver clearly has the best car for that season then he needs to put less into the car than all the others to win, therefore he is the worst driver for that season, i think thats what you call a paradox and make Vettel the worst driver for the last three years.

Its possibly that if the tyres become such i major part of F1 then teams will end up looking for drivers with the ability to preserve them,This cannot be right as all the entertainment will be removed over a period of time, somebody driving a road car who cant afford to replace his tyres might brake earlier or go around a roundabout slower but if a F1 driver starts a race this way then we all suffer, if you want F1 to improve then let two tyre manufacturers supply tyres and let the teams decide at each race witch manufacturer to choose for that F1 weekend.
