It’s to cold to keep the tires warm enough for grip. If they could use the running they would have.
Stuart Becktell commented on the post, Why Williams expects long-term benefits from hiring Sirotkin 3 years, 9 months ago
Everything I heard about speed was the opposite. Kubica was faster on single laps, but Sirotkin was faster overall.
Stuart Becktell commented on the post, The data which shows DRS has failed to win over F1 fans 4 years, 8 months ago
I would prefer they go back to the aero of 2009. The worst DRS race was when Button made it from the back of the pack twice because he was 30 MPH faster than other cars on the back stretch.
DRS has a place, […]
Stuart Becktell commented on the post, Should Liberty use NASCAR's 'playoff' format for F1? 4 years, 8 months ago
No. Maybe go back to the historical dropping of a race or two we had in the 80s so a mechanical failure doesn’t destroy someone’s championship. Playoffs don’t work in racing because every track isn’t the same. […]
Stuart Becktell commented on the post, Alonso keeps fifth as stewards take no action over Massa collision 5 years ago
Makes no sense. If kyvat gets a penalty where Perez was hurt, why wasn’t Alonso? And his post race pr was pretty silly, when he said right after that it was completely massas fault.
A race in New York City won’t help f1 in the us. We already had a race at the most famous track in the us, and f1 decided to play politics and the race left. It doesn’t matter where it is, what needs to happen is […]
Stuart Becktell commented on the post, "Someone could get hurt": Hamilton warns over kerbs 5 years, 3 months ago
So avoid them. No one was on them in the wet, I don’t see why this is a problem? Do they complain about the placement of the walls since if they hit them they crash? No.
Stuart Becktell commented on the post, Elimination qualifying postponed until Spain at earliest 5 years, 8 months ago
It’s not very surprising. They did the same thing when we went to the new points system. It had to be pointed out to them that by moving to 25-20-15 for the top 3, they were keeping the same points gap as before. […]
Stuart Becktell commented on the post, Do you support F1's new aerodynamic rules for 2017? 5 years, 10 months ago
I’m against the higher downforce in the rear of the car. What will help racing, but make the cars look better, is to widen the cars back to pre 98 levels, put the 09 wings on the car, and keep the current rear […]
Probably that people are tired of Red Bull winning, just like in a few years they will be tired of Mercedes winning. The fact that RBR was never found in breech of any regulations by the stewards from 2010-2013, […]
“d) An additional penalty will be imposed on any driver who, in the opinion of the stewards, continues to drive a car knowing it to have been released in an unsafe condition.”
So if a car gets released in front […]
Not at all, Alonso brought millions of dollars in sponsorship with him.
Stuart Becktell commented on the post, Should teams boycott race to force action on costs? 6 years, 11 months ago
Didn’t work in keeping Michelin in the sport when they boycotted the 2005 US GP, and if they want to ensure they don’t receive US sponsors in the future, its a great plan!

Can’t respond to the link for some reason (bars my account from replying.
1. What country are you in (and state, if applicable)
US, New York
2. Which channels broadcast F1 near you?
NBC Sports Network
I don’t think its difficult to do. They were able to do it with engines very easily by just freezing development on them. While creative accounting will always occur, you also have ways of accounting for this. It […]
