So for me, the WEC highlight of the year wasn’t Le Mans – which, was great, but was the phenomenal race between Audi and Porsche at Silverstone where Porsche just nailed Audi on the straights but Audi were much […]
This is actually quite an interesting topic. I think really my answer here is that I don’t really care about Formula E – so as a result, I don’t really care much about the rules that it implements. I think the […]
Though this is a fun article, i think the title is misleading. Not all of these rules are ‘ridiculous’ or ones which should be derided.
Certain rules are necessary for a sport – Formula E’s second car, for […]

This is tremendously sad, and feels horrible to say it. RIP Jules.
To be honest, it would seem like you’ve not seen the race. Audi weren’t dominating. They won because of strategy. The Porsche is the fastest car right now over a single lap. Audi are just able to manage their […]
Nice to have F1 back, disappointing to have such a poor opening race.
Sauber / Ferrari’s performance was good, McLaren’s was laughable. No on track action except a bit from Button (somehow). Melbourne doesn’t […]

Regardless of F1’s faults, i’ve long been saying that WEC is the way forward. Taking just one example, it’s fan access at Silverstone is unprecedented among top level motorsports. There’s a sense that the sport […]
Le Mans has already proved that there really isn’t any need for a safety car any more as you can force the drivers to slow down in other ways.
As regards this rule though – I think you’ve overlooked the safety […]
It was pretty obvious that the wing was potentially dangerous. He should have been called in.
More impressive though was how Alonso defended and held on to his position despite not having a functioning wing. It […]

I don’t know why, but I really think Maldonado has something pretty special. I don’t like his unsporting attitude at times but his pace really is unbelievable. Reminds me very much of an on form Montoya.
What I think is more worrying for Williams is that they have a huge fan base from those fans who grew up in the 90’s with Hill, Villeneuve and Mansell etc. I expect that the early 2000s brought them some fans with […]
