It depends on if you are changing the underlying philosophy of your chassis, sounds like they made a fundamental error on their car this year. If that’s a front end aero affecting component many many changes that […]
Agree with this. Don’t see the point in binning it ahead of confirming the regs are working. There is no reason they can’t run around with the wings disabled so you lose nothing but gain the ability to pivot mid […]
TdM commented on the post, Little support for proposed ban on anti-stall and other 'driver aids' 2 years, 3 months ago
Anti-Stall removal is not a good idea IMO. As Verstappen says it’s better to keep the car in the race, it could instigate more safety cars and nullifying the first/second lap for stalled cars and most importantly, […]

Finally, we’ve been calling for this for years. This will improve things massively I think.

Goodbye Niki. You will be missed by many.

The 3 adjustments thing is ridiculous. A normal commuter does similar when avoiding an incident on the motorway.
If they wanted to highlight initial reaction time at speed that would be fine but amount of […]

You aren’t wrong. It was a normal comment. People are just hunting for opportunities to wave an offended flag by now I’m afraid.

TdM commented on the post, How close was it? 10 charts revealing F1 teams' performance in 2018 2 years, 10 months ago
Regularly just means it happened often. Not necessarily more often than it’s comparison point.
I would say that these stats are not 100% perfect though (it’s very hard to achieve) as you are […]
TdM commented on the post, Horner backs Verstappen's explanation for Austrian GP row 3 years, 3 months ago
@alonshow it depends on how close you are, if you take a somewhat distant tow you will get an advantage on the straights but not drop time in the corners, too close and you are right, you will start to lose time overall.
TdM commented on the post, 2018 Canadian Grand Prix interactive data: lap charts, times and tyres 3 years, 4 months ago
It’s all about the temperature window on the tyres. They are so sensitive these days, going slower can do more harm because you lose grip start sliding and the the tyres grain and wear. At Canada the track is fast […]

So… The text doesn’t match the grid unless I’m reading it wrong…
As I mentioned in the other thread, if they standardise the suspension, this is the best way to put power in the hands of the engineers. Less sidewall means chassis and suspension setup have more direct control of […]
TdM commented on the post, Pirelli prepared to offer 18-inch wheels and 'smart tyres' in F1 3 years, 4 months ago
This actually makes a lot of sense when combined with the new suspension. With the smaller rims a lot of the suspension work is done by the tyres. This means combined with a standard suspension, teams would have […]
TdM commented on the post, FIA adding more monitoring to Ferrari's power unit for next race 3 years, 5 months ago
Will be interesting to see how well they go in Canada. If they aren’t quite as quick as we would expect it could cast doubt on just how legal their system was operating before the monitoring.
It’s nice to have […]
Have to admit, I was wondering if everyone had been on a different channel it was all tyre saving behind a slow car. The problem is, they have to save tyres because track position is everything here and there is […]
TdM commented on the post, Inexperienced drivers not holding Williams back – Stroll 3 years, 6 months ago
Exactly. The lollipop wasn’t safe. It’s normal for people to feel people are safer than technology but it’s not true. They need to work on making the technology more accurate but you can do that in a logical […]
TdM commented on the post, Red Bull are quick enough to beat Ferrari – Horner 3 years, 6 months ago
Why don’t they just have a mandatory pause before release of 0.5-1 second. In this period a warning tone is played to ear buds the mechanics are wearing so they know the car is about to release.
If something is […]

@keithcollantine in my opinion, this is a racing incident, however, watch the video again. they were side by side for almost the whole corner, the only time that Lewis actually drops back is when there is either […]
