Jared H commented on the post, Will Yas Marina's three key changes put an end to F1's follow-my-leader finales? 1 year, 7 months ago
All they had to do was get rid of the chicane between the 2 straights, current F1 cars can really only pass each other on straights, its only possible in corners when someone makes a mistake or there is a big tyre disparity.
Jared H commented on the post, Williams to use Mercedes gearboxes from 2022 2 years ago
How the mighty have fallen: Williams supplied gearboxes to Toyota because Toyota couldn’t get their “seamless” design to work, now Williams is buying gearboxes from Mercedes.

Kovalainen in 8th a Trulli in 9th? Defintely lost lots of credibility with those results. Another incorrect AWS insight
Jared H commented on the post, Ferrari wade into Racing Point legality row with letter to F1 and FIA 2 years, 5 months ago
LOL, the same team that entered a confidential settlement with the FIA. Ferrari were caught cheating and were handed a slap on the wrist, now they want to beat up on another team.
Jared H commented on the post, F1 confirms rounds at Nurburgring and Algarve, plus two-day event at Imola 2 years, 6 months ago
Logic would dictate that they should have tested the 2 day format on one of the tracks that was holding a double header, but this is F1 and logic is a scarce supply.

Do they still have the veto? I forgot if it got taken away or not in the new concorde agreement.
Jared H commented on the post, Ferrari against cost-cutting rules change because 2020 car is uncompetitive – Horner 2 years, 9 months ago
I really hope the FIA sticks it to Ferrari for once. They are not going to leave F1, it’s an empty threat and I think F1 would survive without them. Ever since F1’s inception Ferrari has plenty of resources to […]
Jared H commented on the post, Aston Martin officially confirms return to F1 in 2021 2 years, 10 months ago
I have the same thought, who cares. This should really be an article about RP rebranding to AM. AM have bigger priorities than to race in the midfield in F1. #1 should be to solve their road car issues and stop […]
Jared H commented on the post, Bottas: Red Bull quicker than Mercedes on the straights now 3 years, 2 months ago
Pretty sure Mercedes stopped developing the car shortly after the summer break, their constructors lead was insurmountable so might as well go for W11.

Why is the USGP subject to approval? No contract?
Jared H commented on the post, Why F1 Fanatic is changing names 4 years, 11 months ago
I wish you the best Keith but this happened to a site I used to visit as well, gpupdate.net, they started to mix in other racing series to increase coverage which is fine but unlike you they did it subtly. Their […]
Jared H commented on the post, Strategy Group to discuss separating car and driver weights 5 years ago
I don’t know what the ideal solution is but I still think the cars need to go back down to 650kg minimum weight, they are approaching 2000 lbs right now.
An interesting point to add is women weigh less than […]
Jared H commented on the post, One year to decide: How Aston Martin is weighing up plans to enter F1 5 years ago
Neither Tag nor Alfa build their own engines. they are rebranding an existing engine, exactly what Aston Martin wants to do. Pastor Maldonado will be a WDC before Aston builds, not buys, their own […]
Jared H commented on the post, Aston Martin supports Todt's 'world engine' proposal 5 years ago
Pretty sure customer teams don’t open or work on the engines besides swapping external parts (spark plugs, turbos, etc). I think the FIA also seals certain parts of the engine as well. Case in point, McLaren had […]
Jared H commented on the post, Aston Martin supports Todt's 'world engine' proposal 5 years ago
McLaren has been in the sport since the 70s, they get historic payouts from FOM, I think they have a say in the sport… Aston on the other hand has never turned a wheel in F1.
Mercedes F1 is not related to the […]
Jared H commented on the post, Aston Martin supports Todt's 'world engine' proposal 5 years ago
Also wanted to say, Aston Martin should really have little to no voice in F1. They have no F1 history, they barely even put their own engines in their road cars, they’re only shoe in the F1 door is a title […]
Jared H commented on the post, Aston Martin supports Todt's 'world engine' proposal 5 years ago
It could also bring down the costs of F1 engines if they were permitted for use in other series such as WEC or Indy, due to the increased production volume.
Highly doubt Ferrari or Mercedes want other people […]
Jared H commented on the post, Power unit grid penalties change announced for 2018 5 years, 1 month ago
Really an unnecessary change, now its more ambiguous as to who has how many penalties. What was wrong with the old system? Who cares if Stoff and Fernando were getting 30 place penalties, its just a knee jerk […]
