thersquared commented on the post, Haas 'talking to ten drivers' about 2016 seats 7 years, 9 months ago
F1 is the only form of racing, where teams are individual responsible for the design of their car which makes it hard to move into as a team. Institutionally, there should be a good body of general racing […]

He will if he can fight his way back into 2nd in the GP2 standings.

The problem is the design your own car for your first season approach hasn’t really worked. Quite a few teams have entered F1 making their first car and most haven’t been successful at even staying in the sport […]

So a new team is supposed to be silent until the first race? There are quite a few F1 fans in America who are excited about having an American F1 team again and like to be updated on what the team is doing.

What I can’t believe is that points are now given for the WTCC but not for racing an LMP2 car. Surely racing in the WEC in an LMP2 car is better preparation and/or display of talent for F1 then racing a touring car?

Does Rossi still have an active superlicence? If not he’s going to need to keep that second in the championship just to have enough super licence points to be eligible for the HAAS seat.

What I find incredible is that all of Rosberg’s wins have come after Massa’s most recent win (Brazil 2008).

They’re also to protect against interlocked wheels which was a common cause of crashes on ovals prior to the current DW12 car.

Additionally, the Belle Isle circuit is really tight and narrow in most places. Which means that even in the event of a minor error, there is no where to go other than the wall or another car.
Also, the other […]

Possibly. I’m not sure that a test rig will be able to replicate all of the shocks and stresses, the PU faces once it’s actually mounted in the car and on the track.

My theory as to what has held back Caterham and Marussia is that they have been chasing a moving target in terms of performance. As an example the Petrov’s Qualifying time in the 2012 Spanish GP was a 1:25.277. […]

There are reasons why IndyCar races on so many street circuits. That’s where the fans are and the race promoters are dependent on ticket sales to make their money. Unlike F1 where almost all of the races are […]

Danica nearly qualified for a FIA Super License in the 2009 Indycar Series Season, she was one spot in the championship too low. The real problem she would have with coming to F1 is that she’s terrible on road and […]

De Silvestro was actually fairly good in the 2011 Indycar Season given the relative lack of budget her team had. 2012 was pretty much a disaster because they were stuck with the anemic Lotus engine. I think she […]

I’m not from Texas, but the way it works over in my corner of the USA is that with the appropriate permit carrying a concealed firearm is legal on most public property. Some areas (i.e. Courtrooms, Hospitals, etc.) are not covered. On private property which is most likely what the track is, the ability to do so is entirely up to the property…[Read more]
