Paul Schofield commented on the post, Mercedes told UK government could change law following Kingspan deal criticism 8 months, 2 weeks ago
If the government are unhappy with Kingspan they should do something about it, hectoring a company for taking their sponsorship is just hypocritical nonsense.
Although the involvement of Kingspan in the Grenfell […]Paul Schofield commented on the post, 'I put both my hands in the fire': Grosjean describes his 28 seconds trapped in an inferno 1 year, 8 months ago
I haven’t managed to work out who was driving the white car that left the circuit on the right and then not only rejoined without slowing, but also crossed straight over to the racing line on the left. He was the […]

I’m not entirely sure whether the mode is chosen by the team or the engine manufacturer – if it’s the latter then that will surely compromise customer teams
Paul Schofield commented on the post, 'Quali mode' ban "won't be too difficult" to adapt to – Renault 1 year, 11 months ago
So do you think a boost button will be legal? It would be part of the standard mode in both quali and race and it would be under driver control.

I thought (and I could be wrong) that the gear sets are fixed throughout the season not changed to suit each track

So if we were at Abu Dhabi and Lewis needed the extra 7 points to win the WDC then you still say it’s wrong?
Either you still think it’s wrong – which is ridiculous and not worth arguing about, or you think that […]Paul Schofield commented on the post, Alonso says McLaren deal is "not one year" and he won't do 2018 Indy 500 4 years, 10 months ago
Not the Indy500 then – what about Le Mans?

Why apply a constructor’s penalty to a driver failure?
Paul Schofield commented on the post, Hamilton 'paid it forward' to his team mate but could Vettel do the same? 5 years ago
Except by pitting him immediately after Vettel he lost an easy pass – should have been left out for 3 laps or so to allow him to use the full pace of the fully-working Ferrari and he should have comfortably taken […]

If Perez had let Ocon pass, then you agree that Ocon would have got by Ricciardo then there’s no reason why Ocon wouldn’t have been further ahead of Vettel than Ricciardo was – ie a good chance to finish third. […]

I don’t quite get why he incurred the penalty points, but if Kvyat had learnt the rules properly (or TR had their wits about them and informed him) then this would never have happened. Alonso was obvious aware of […]

How about a merger that, like most american sports, has two championships and the best teams get to play off for the ultimate glory. So Indy conference and F1 conference race their seasons more or less as normal […]
Paul Schofield commented on the post, Sauber fume at "incomprehensible" let-off for Magnussen 5 years, 4 months ago
Well that’s all well and good, but it was KMag behind the steering wheel when he drove it into the kerb so he was clearly at fault. I’m not sure a race penalty is suitable, but this bad driving cries out for some […]

IIRC the valve operations are controlled by pneumatics – maybe it’s something to do with that?

Paul Schofield commented on the post, 2016 F1 season driver rankings #2: Hamilton 5 years, 8 months ago
IIRC Baku practice and qualifying was quite interesting – it seemed that MB were in the habit of starting one car with low downforce and one high downforce setups, and then dialling the cars in to an optimum. […]

Tomas, generally if you can record a program then your technology should allow you to pause/rewind live TV. Just make sure you’re not recording too many other channels at the same time.
