Sorry should have said, the fuel pressured problem I’m talking about isn’t the one that caused the massive fuel leak in equally which resulted in the fire, he actually was nursing a different fuel pressure problem in the closing stages of the race.

    Toto Wolff:
“Yes reliability is our main concern, we had some issues on Lewis’ car in the race again – some fuel pressure problems in the car again which needs to be analysed,” he revealed.

Pete Windsor went into more detail on this issue that occurred in the race, on how much performance was lost and at the time he was coming under attack from RIC. But if that fuel pressure problem hadn’t of occurred then RIC wouldn’t of caught up with Lewis at anywhere near the rate his did, even with fresher tyres. So it certainly did affect Hamilton. Also Lewis’s defence of ROS was a lot heavier than he did on RIC and ROS really only had 1 lap where he could really attack and given the nature of the track Lewis kept him behind until the end of the race.

The Riccardo pass on Hamilton in Hungary wouldn’t count either under those rules as Lewis had a fuel pressure problem at the time and was nursing the car home, recently confirmed by Toto in post season interview & Pete Windsor on the racers edge.
