@yossarian Exactly. He was a star again.
BasCB commented on the post, 2021 Italian Grand Prix Star Performers 1 year, 6 months ago
I agree, @yossarian, well and then Norris had to pass Leclerc, who was ahead of him due to the timing of the SC. And his defensive drive as “rear guard” was key to the 1-2 win IMO, at least as much as Ricciardo […]
Dave commented on the post, Bottas 'left Russell nowhere to go' in crash – Brawn 1 year, 11 months ago
@yossarian Toto has learned the game of F1 and plays it very well. Matthew Carter CEO of Lotus in 2013 / 14 learned this very quickly. On switching to Mercedes power units and being very new to the sport, Carter […]
Michael commented on the post, Bottas 'left Russell nowhere to go' in crash – Brawn 1 year, 11 months ago
@yossarian Toto overstated things – of course, there’s match fixing in F1. The ATs don’t race RB, the Alfas and Haas don’t race Ferrari, the Renault-powered cars race Renault, and the Merc-powered race Mercedes. […]

@yossarian – you actually made a fair assessment, though I must concur I find 7th really harsh. But the thing is, it doesn’t matter what colleagues might say, a personal ranking is subjective, even volatile. You […]

@yossarian Did you pick #7 as a tribute to Cristiano? :-) It’s actually the only logical explanation.
Keith Campbell commented on the post, 2020 F1 driver rankings #11: Kevin Magnussen 2 years, 2 months ago
@yossarian You are ofc entitled to your opinion, but to me this list looks like a ranking of ‘gaps between teammates’, without considering how strong their teammates are.
Robbie commented on the post, Electrification and lower-carbon fuels are right direction for F1 – Mercedes 2 years, 2 months ago
@yossarian I don’t think the budgets have been set high enough for an engine “war.” An engine war would take up the teams’ whole budgets as they have been set, or a big chunk, and they have been set at the levels […]
F1oSaurus commented on the post, How Russell nearly avoided his race-losing pit stop – and the 'smoking gun' behind it 2 years, 3 months ago
@yossarian He was overtaken by the cars behind him which were on fresher (and faster compound) tyres?
Stroll was also almost overtaken, but he barely kept his car ahead of Sainz.
AJ commented on the post, How Russell nearly avoided his race-losing pit stop – and the 'smoking gun' behind it 2 years, 3 months ago
@yossarian @hunocsii reason being Bottas’ old hards were had been taken off during the pit stop and kept on the ground because of which they lost their temperature. Eventually the same cold tyre set went back on. […]
Ivan commented on the post, Formula 2 and 3's new three-race weekend formats announced 2 years, 3 months ago
@yossarian Yes, this new format just seems all too confusing. Something straight out of Motorsport Manager. And yet, I will most likely be watching because the racing is genuinely good. F2 cars can follow each […]
F1oSaurus commented on the post, Hamilton: Bottas deserves more credit than he gets 2 years, 4 months ago
@yossarian Bottas beat Massa quite comprehensively for 3 seasons out of 3. Massa who was pretty much on par with Raikkonen.
Bottas has good speed and he is reasonably faultless. Drivers like Perez, Sainz, […]
Michael commented on the post, Hamilton: Bottas deserves more credit than he gets 2 years, 4 months ago
@yossarian that ranking is completely based on a driver’s performance with a particular car and the last race. Russell is now in Kvyat territory because of the spin.
For all we know, Bottas would have been a […]
Ben Rowe commented on the post, Hamilton: Bottas deserves more credit than he gets 2 years, 4 months ago
Now that is harsh. Is it really Hamilton dominating Bottas that has made so many people rate him so low?
in 2016, Force india was arguably level or better than WIlliams by the end of the year and […]
Mashiat commented on the post, AlphaTauri confirm Gasly will drive for them again in 2021 2 years, 4 months ago
@yossarian Raikkonen has had more than enough chances with a car capable of challenging for victories, let him be in the midfield where he isn’t out of his depth. Signing Raikkonen makes no sense whatsoever for […]
F1oSaurus commented on the post, Official: Ferrari confirm Sainz as Vettel's replacement for 2021 2 years, 10 months ago
@yossarian Bottas is a better driver than Vettel is. Bottas at least manages much more often to make it to the finish line without spinning or crashing.
Even if Vettel would be a few thousands faster (and even […]

Alianora La Canta commented on the post, Australian GP should have been cancelled a week before race – Richards 2 years, 11 months ago
@yossarian One of the weight raises was done to reduce the propensity of teams to use exotic materials (it didn’t work for that). Other raises have been to accommodate safety equipment, hybrid engines and larger tyres.
BasCB commented on the post, Australian GP should have been cancelled a week before race – Richards 2 years, 11 months ago
I think that we should let the teams go at it without making that change for now @yossarian. First we need to make sure that the budget cap works to keep a check on distorting competition by outspending the […]
