BTCC Oulton 1: Giovanardi takes championship lead

Fabrizio Giovanardi moved into the lead of the championship by finishing second behind Gordon Shedden. Shedden took his first win of 2007 and the second for Team Halfords’ new Honda Civic. Colin Turkington was third after starting on pole. Former championship leader Jason Plato could only manage seventh while carrying maximum ballast on his Seat.

Massa criticises Silverstone

Felipe Massa criticised the Silverstone circuit after F1 testing there last week. Here’s what he had to say: It is very bumpy everywhere. I think it is a much worse situation than the last year, so they really need to resurface it straightaway otherwise we will have trouble.
