We didn’t get any more rain at Spa-Francorchamps today but we got a thrilling and unpredictable qualifying session anyway. Here’s a look back at today’s action with over 80 pictures from qualifying.

Giancarlo Fisichella’s light fuel load could leave him vulnerable to attack from Jarno Trulli and Nick Heidfeld in tomorrow’s Belgian Grand Prix. Trulli is carrying 8.6kg more fuel than his fellow Italian who he shares the front row of the grid with. Here’s the fuel weight in full and a look ahead to tomorrow’s race:
The Force India pit exploded with joy as Giancarlo Fisichella gave the team its first ever pole position. It was the first pole position for the team in its current form. The Silverstone-based squad last had a car on pole at the Nurburgring in 1999 for the European Grand Prix.
Giancarlo Fisichella’s morning got off to a bad start when he hit a rabbit during practice and had to replace his front wing. But he seized his opportunity in an unpredictable qualifying session to grab his first pole posiiton in three years – and Force India’s first ever.
