  1. That Sauber is certainly looking healthier now it has a few new sponsors on it.

  2. I was thinking something similar. I know that I’ll probably get shouted down but some of the step nose cars are actually growing on me aesthetically, especially the Sauber. I seem to recall at the start of the season that everyone thought it was really ugly but I reckon it’s the best looking of all the step nose cars. I really like their ’12 livery too – shades of a black & white version of the classic Marlboro McLaren livery.

Keith, has there been any techincal regulation changes for 2013 to get rid of the step noses or are they to stay until 2014 and the big regulation change coming then? I’ve not heard anything about them for a long time…

    1. I think I did recall seeing that they will change it for 2013, but correct me if I am wrong.

  3. Why is the left side camera bar on the McLaren so big. And why are there two on the cars now it seems. The Ferrari has equal sized ones for both side it looks like, the RBR seems to have a thicker one on the right side. None of the bars are like the McLaren though…so I am just curious what is up.

    1. That’s a camera McLaren have put on the car to measure tyre temperature. Red Bull and other teams use them sometimes as well, usually on Fridays.

      1. Thanks Keith
