    Massa’s doughnuts please!!!!

  2. What is the significance of “Ferrari with Sardinia” (if google translate it to be believed)?

    1. Ah the cyclone, of course.

  3. Didn’t Alonso do some donuts as well? I think the TV cameras only caught the bit where he straightened the car up after finishing them.

  4. It was a great race for Sebastian Vettel. Even though he lost his pole for Rosberg, he got it back very quickly, just before the first lap was over and he took a victory with some great driving. Webber showed some great driving by doing fantastic overtakes and finishing second just before Alonso.

For half-Finnish Rosberg, it was a shame that Mercedes couldn’t keep the pace against Red Bulls, but the race was not a disaster for him: he crossed the line before Hamilton. The British made a big mistake by turning right a bit too quickly and pulled Bottas off the track, even though Bottas was faster than him at the moment.

Heikki Kovalainen showed some good stuff during practices. For the qualifying, there was, unfortunately not enough time for him to get fresher tyres and make a quick lap in the end of the 2nd qualifying session. Kovalainen did fantastic job by replacing Räikkönen for the last two races: he got well with the car and he was quick even though the car was not familiar for him. Just think about Fisichella with Ferrari at the end of 2009 season: he had driven full season with Force India, but was all the time very weak with a better car. Kovalainen had only took six starts at the practice sessions for this year and was sometimes quicker than Grosjean. Fantastic!

In the USA, Kovalainen got something stuck in his car and that reduced grip. He had only one problem that prevented him to gain points in Brazil: he had not practiced race starts and probably had problems with clutch. Even Webber got similar problems, even though he was familiar with the car. But Kovalainen did the best he could: no crashes, no mistakes and fantastic overtakes: specially the movement he did by overtaking Vergne bravely for the 17th place. Kovalainen is still one of the top drivers in F1, but today’s rules are what they are: no testing is allowed, too little time for practice… plus money talks.
