Looks like your the winner by default @rubaru so well done. I really liked your circuit regardless, it reminds me of Watkins Glen, obviously not the location but the layout looks similar. So its your turn now.

I forgot to set a deadline. Deadline will be Friday 8am in Brisbane, Australia. Which I believe is midnight Thursday night in the UK.

Thanks @sam3110, I was very excited whilst making the circuit as that Turn 8 style Marina turn, wow that would be incredible for Formula 1 cars. Apologies to @rubaru for just getting in there first with designing a circuit incorporating that corner.
For this round I’m continuing with my theme of Bernie goes mad and announces a Grand Prix where…[Read more]

My entry for the Greek Grand Prix
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=6790023
– 5.9km anticlockwise circuit
– Around the beautiful harbour area with plenty of room for yachts to dock and watch the race like in Monaco. Also runs along the beach. Would be a visually spectacular circuit.
– Pit-lane would use the harbour side straight at the 2km…[Read more]Browny replied to the topic Track designing contest in the forum

At just under 6km its over the prescribed limit so I don’t mind if I am excluded from winning, I will still enter it though for you all to look at. The circuit has:
– Two excellent overtaking spots, with long fast straights leading into tight hairpins
– Two beautiful sections running…[Read more]Browny replied to the topic Track designing contest in the forum

The circuits start finish straight will have a magnificent backdrop of St. Peter’s Basilica. The circuit crosses the Tiber River twice, and also…[Read more]

Great circuits both of you. Jason I think your circuit would be better to drive, but I can’t go past the circuit @sam3110 designed. It’s very similar to Montreal with a very fast circuit, overtaking spots and on and island, even has a motorway above the circuit. I also loved the circuit going around the stadium, would be an excellent spectacle…[Read more]

Thanks @rubaru, it was a lot of fun designing and I hope you continue with your theme of micro nations getting Grand Prix’s.
On that note we seem to be having excellent themes for designing circuits around now, remodelling old circuits like we did with Hockenheim and Mexico City, and now small nations. This have been fantastic for each person to…[Read more]

Here’s mine for San Marino, a lot of very interesting roads to use but I settled on this 4.9km clockwise circuit. It features a permanent section of circuit which runs through paddocks which would allow for enough room for pits, grandstands etc.

Here’s my entry, kept much of the original circuit but made a few changes for safety, racing and spectator purposes. Tightened Turn 1 to increase overtaking and to improve safety. Improved the slow and ugly Turns 4,5,6,7 complex into a simple hairpin for overtaking. This would improve the spectator…[Read more]
