Ok thanks for the info Darren…
Captain Pie commented on the post, First pictures: Williams presents a new look for the 2021 F1 season 1 month, 1 week ago
I think it looks quite smart and a bit different in a good way.
Same as Haas though, where are the sponsors??
Captain Pie commented on the post, No 'number one' between Alonso and Ocon at Alpine 1 month, 1 week ago
All drivers are equal at Alpine. Excellent.
Now let’s not forget to give Alonso equal space as you allow him past you.

Is it just me or is there a severely worrying lack of sponsors on this?
Captain Pie commented on the post, First pictures: Aston Martin reveals its first F1 car for over 60 years 1 month, 1 week ago
It’s a shame the Aston Martin logo is not more prominent.
Also, the green looks a bit washed out, but hopefully it is just the pictures.

@omarr-pepper pit of curiosity, what do you have against Renault, Alpine, Alonso or Ocon?
Captain Pie commented on the post, No replacement for Aston Martin as Red Bull's title sponsor 3 months, 2 weeks ago
@geemac well he’s not wrong! New sponsors by whatever source is still a new sponsor. We know Christian is a bit of a spin artist so naturally he will pose it that they are team generated as opposed to driver. […]
Captain Pie commented on the post, Grosjean: Move towards Kvyat which triggered crash was 'aggressive' but not 'crazy' 4 months, 1 week ago
I hope this can lead to a change to the useless wing mirrors, maybe rear 180 view camera and bring the road relevance back to wing mirror design.
Captain Pie commented on the post, Hamilton: Pirelli's new 2021 tyres are "worse" despite two years' development 4 months, 2 weeks ago
The problem we have here is that we are testing next years tyres with this years cars.
Last year they did this, the teams kicked up a stink about them and demanded to use the previous spec tyres for this year. […]

That bear is not wearing a mask!
The liberties some bears take with following the rules is astonishing.
Captain Pie commented on the post, Ferrari engine customers wary of Red Bull's call for power unit freeze 5 months, 2 weeks ago
If I remember correctly (may not be!) previous engine freeze was a freeze on performance related changes. Only allowing for reliability changes.

Alonso will never be past his prime. He’s like a Duracell battery!

Make every safety car restart a standing restart! 🤣

An open job offer to Sergio, wonder if he’ll consider it and if slim will front for a 3rd car in the team.
Captain Pie commented on the post, Official: Vettel to replace Perez at Aston Martin's F1 team for 2021 7 months ago
If I remember correctly, Vijay Mallya had a policy of one year only signings, and doing it late in the year.
Must be a right kick on the balls thought to finally get contract security only for it to be break claused.

Captain Pie commented on the post, Di Resta to serve as McLaren's 'standby driver' for Silverstone 8 months, 1 week ago
Not very fast is better than not running at all, and likely safer than calling in an F2 driver.
Captain Pie commented on the post, Alonso telling Renault to 'forget about 2021' – Abiteboul 8 months, 3 weeks ago
@robbie that’s kind of my point, surely a better response from Renault would be mentioning the agreement and synergy with Alonso’s mindset and plan, etc.
I dunno, maybe this just rubbed me the wrong way?
Captain Pie commented on the post, Alonso telling Renault to 'forget about 2021' – Abiteboul 8 months, 3 weeks ago
Whilst it’s good that Alonso is telling Renault to plan fully for the new regs, but Renault should have been doing this already.
Is this a blunder by Cyril showing he has no long term planning skills or just a […]
