Sato is too old for long project. Nakajima and Kobayashi are Toyota guys so it won’t happen.

I agree with you. I guess Honda gives PU for free and might be more for R&D fund.

Obviously good news for Mclaren and Honda…if their partnership remains next year. Considering Mercedes deal rumor(they denied it though!), it might be Honda’s Plan B. but I believe Sauber is too weak to be Honda […]

Sauber should be the last but I see his point.

Opening victory from Vettel can’t be bad news for the championship. Still I believe Mercedes would out-develope Ferrari through the season so considering early lead from rivals essential. Yes, Ferrari was faster […]

If they go back to Mercedes, it should be interim solution than long term. I don’t think any team without works status nowadays. so Mercedes power should make Mclaren strong midfielder but winner. Still it might […]
Eggry commented on the post, McLaren 'approached Mercedes over engines' 5 years, 5 months ago
@todfod Mercedes power should be damage limitation rather than long term solution indeed. I can’t see Mercedes would give them a chance to win but as you said, Mclaren could salvage themselves. then They have to […]
Eggry commented on the post, McLaren 'approached Mercedes over engines' 5 years, 5 months ago
They did but then Mercedes was busy for team building. I think both team had equal status since Mercedes had Mclaren stocks and they were better. Now? Not a chance.

We all know Red Bull also approached Mercedes 2015 and how it panned out. Asking is one thing, actual contract is another. I’m not sure Toto would allow it dislike Red Bull case even though Mclaren seems much […]

If Honda fails to turn around in a couple of races, that’s it.

@eurobrun Castrol, once private lubricant company, now part of BP group. so they’re virtually same company. I believe BP would offer fuel and Castrol would offer lubricants. Maybe both come from BP divisions but […]

Nobody denied Mclaren chassis is not on par with rivals.

@maarten-f1 Oh I didn’t knew that. Yeah, two rabbit at once. Might be too ambitious for them :(
Eggry commented on the post, McLaren confirm deal with BP and Castrol 5 years, 6 months ago
Great news! Considering Mobil 1 left and a rumor BP would sign a deal with Reanult, I’m now relieved. Mclaren desperately needs fuel/lubricant partnership to win championship. I guess Mclaren would suffer setback […]
