By far the most sensible take in this thread.
The tube is for driver cooling as the cars are much hotter now due to the aeroscreen, and the water is sprayed to stop any potential fuel spill from igniting on the hot engine cover. Hope that’s helpful!

However, no matter which angle you view it from it will still look rubbish.
That is a good point, I just don’t like the new weekend format as a viewing experience, and the knock on effects it has to other aspects of the weekend (e.g penalties etc), which kind of affects my enjoyment of […]
Exciting race and very tense battle. My only issue is with how the sprint race basically gave Hamilton a get out of jail free card, giving him the opportunity to make places before the actual grand Prix starts. […]

I am still not won over at all by these sprint races. I always enjoy watching F1 whether it’s Practice, Quali or the GP, but this is still leaving me cold. Yeah, it was fascinating watching Lewis carve through the […]

Ok well I watched both and can confirm they were, indeed, rubbish.
That chicane at turns 14/15 might be one of the worst F1 chicanes ever designed, I don’t think that’s too much of an overstatement.

I don’t expect to see Jordan at the bottom for long, and I’m very intruiged to see Toleman’s engine cover design.

I think this was a perfect demonstration that F1 isn’t just for the best drivers in the world.
These are the best mechanics, engineers, strategists, etc. This is the truest example of a team sport there is. Sure, […]
Would have rephrasing it to “I am boxing for Mediums”, “Understood.” stopped them from getting penalised, hypothetically? As far as I can see, it’s the fact the team gave the instruction that is the issue, so if […]

Alex’s brother, not sure if he does any motorsport but was in a few of the F1 streams last week and looks pretty quick on the F1 game at least.

People need to read the press release again. It clearly says that the story of him forgetting to uncork the bottle is not true, it’s just something they tell new starters at the factory because it’s a good story […]

I really enjoy the videos! They remind me a little bit of that podcast you did with Ben Evans a couple of years ago, enjoyable and informative.
P.S. really missing you on Sky’s Indycar coverage this year, any chance you’ll be back doing the “US Ad-break commentary” anytime soon? I enjoyed it more than NBC’s own commentary!
