In sailing, points are awarded according to finishing position. Winner gets 1, 2nd place 2, etc. DNF is number of starters +1. You can discard your worst X results (depending on the number of races in the […]

Robert was a little embarrassed for not realising the tank was nearly empty.

We always seem to vote a rookie to win DOTW in Aus, but kudos to Nasr, he nailed the start and drove a clean defensive race without buckling under race-long pressure from who I consider the field’s best overtaker.

Cannot agree more with this, but maybe its because I didn’t experience those seasons. F1 has always had that ideal of racing two cars, for long enough to be considered tradition.

In an era where every driver seemingly has unshakeable faith in their team, Grosjean’s comments are refreshing to hear.

Admittedly I got rather carried away writing all that. Regardless, I’m not sure; I think Hamilton was, is, and probably will be for the rest of the year more preoccupied with finishing ahead of Nico than any other […]

Perhaps I read too much into the intonation of Lewis’ supposedly gracious statement “I’m not slowing down for Nico… if he can get close and overtake me, overtake.” When I heard that message, not for one moment […]

You can pretty well gauge how exciting the race was by the length of the shots in the ‘race in 60 seconds’ feature.

I.e. the winners hadn’t previously been on the podium all season before taking a win. Hence why Button was obvious. Not sure how likely it is that this stat will go up to 6 winners though, I can’t see anyone else […]

I saw this, carried on reading a few more comments absent mindedly, then had a massive what the hell moment and came back to give a double look at this. Anyone know why this happened? Seems incredibly odd to me […]

When it came down to it, Maldonado lost his pole position and had to rely on the team getting him back in front, as I don’t believe he would have had the racecraft to pass Alonso on track. Admittedly he didn’t […]
