You’re twisting the facts. He demanded that his team get his team-mate out of the way. If you’re “your own man”, you don’t ask your team to play favorites.

Yeah, he showed character. A miserable character, but a character nonetheless.

“We have the most downforce, but the tyres are punishing us”… more like “We put so much emphasis on downforce that we’re starting to have problems making our tyres last.”

Yeah. He’ll probably be aiming for Hamilton. Unless Hamilton aims for him first :))

McLaren Honda? Oh, yeah!
Giuseppe commented on the post, Bianchi takes Razia's place at Marussia for 2013 9 years, 11 months ago
I thought not having an F1 driver in over a decade would be a much bigger letdown. The last two Argentine F1 drivers (that I can remember), Esteban Tuero and Gaston Mazzacane, didn’t exactly impress, but least […]
Giuseppe commented on the post, Which team has the best-looking car of 2013? 9 years, 11 months ago
I agree regarding the Ferrari; it’s not as ugly as the 2012 car, but far from being good looking particularly around the front of the car. However, for some reason, I absolutely love the “dent” in the Sauber’s nose.
Giuseppe commented on the post, Which team has the best-looking car of 2013? 9 years, 11 months ago
:)) That’s the perfect description for the Red Bull livery if there ever was one.
Giuseppe commented on the post, Which team has the best-looking car of 2013? 9 years, 11 months ago
For me it’s either the McLaren or the Sauber. I also like the Marussia. You’re absolutely right about McLaren usually having the best looking car.
Giuseppe commented on the post, Coughlan expects Coanda exhaust gains on FW35 9 years, 11 months ago
You’re welcome. Coanda is one of those early aviation and aerodynamics pioneers that doesn’t get as much attention as he should, partly because he’s not American, British, German etc., partly because there is some […]
Giuseppe commented on the post, Coughlan expects Coanda exhaust gains on FW35 9 years, 11 months ago
For anyone interested, the Coanda effect takes its name after Romanian aerodynamics and aviation pioneer Henri Coanda. The effect describes a jet of fluid’s tendency to “stick” to a nearby solid surface. Coanda […]

There’s still the matter of Newey who was only a 19 year old, first-year university student in 1977.
Giuseppe commented on the post, Top ten winning starts with a new team 9 years, 11 months ago
I don’t think Ross Brawn or Adrian Newey had anything to do with the 1977 Wolf WR1 car. Brawn was at March, and he only started working under Harvey Postlethwaite in 1978. Adrian Newey was still in college, and […]
Giuseppe commented on the post, De la Rosa: McLaren simulator "a few years ahead" 9 years, 11 months ago
Ferrari has a long standing tradition of lagging behind in certain technologies or refinements. I’m not at all surprised that the McLaren simulator is “a few years ahead” of the Ferrari one. Ferrari has always […]
Giuseppe commented on the post, McLaren MP4-28 launch: First pictures and video 9 years, 12 months ago
Agreed. I don’t know why so many people seems surprised the cars look “the same” as last year. It makes perfect sense considering that, aside for a few things, the rules are the same. Not to mention that the cars […]
Giuseppe commented on the post, Gordon Murray: "We were giant-killers" 9 years, 12 months ago
That Brabham BT45 has got to be one of the most awesome looking F1 car ever built. It just screams of 70s goodness. If Han Solo had an F1 car, it would probably look something like that.

My thought exactly.

I’m glad to see the aesthetic freak show that the stepped nose brought last season will survive at least a while longer. Oh joy.
Giuseppe commented on the post, 'In our day we got paid to drive' – Mansell and Piquet on modern F1 10 years ago
It’s easier in the sense that having a single tyre supplier takes a major variable out of the equation. You no longer have to worry about what progress the opposition is making in terms of this technology since […]
Giuseppe commented on the post, "I should have won '86, he should have won '87" – Piquet and Mansell on their rivalry 10 years ago
I think you’re right; the question was stupid and disrespectful to both drivers, but especially to Piquet. If the answer seems inappropriate, it may be only because the question itself was more than a bit […]
