Despite the pace deficit Mercedes keep bagging the points / podiums

Hamilton to claim his third victory of the 2022 season. oh, good to know
Ivan Vinitskyy commented on the post, Perez surprised Russell "couldn't control" his car better in collision 7 months ago
@red-andy Hitting the apex and running wide on exit is how you normally take the corner. If your suggestion is to hit the apex and ‘continue through the radius of the corner’ when battling others then inside […]

Ivan Vinitskyy commented on the post, Horner questions rivals' strategy calls for Hamilton and Leclerc during British GP 7 months, 1 week ago
Exactly. Why not just stay there on mediums for 3 or 5 laps and get softs. Or stay there and hope for safety car or VSC. They were a bit brain dead there pitting when they did for what they got. His pace was […]
Ivan Vinitskyy commented on the post, I need better reliability says Alonso after engine problem leads to "kamikaze" drive 7 months, 3 weeks ago
@mattds They are only false if you ignore the pit stops… which you can but why would you… it’s false representation of who’s in front. Failing to stop during first VSC has put him behind HAM, not literally […]
Ivan Vinitskyy commented on the post, I need better reliability says Alonso after engine problem leads to "kamikaze" drive 7 months, 3 weeks ago
He was already behind Ham on Lap 10, and behind Russel by lap 20. What is Alonso thinking… that strategy killed his race before the engine did.
Ivan Vinitskyy commented on the post, 2022 Azerbaijan Grand Prix interactive data: lap charts, times and tyres 7 months, 4 weeks ago
@denny I don’t see it. It’s just a new tyre… it doesn’t show he was particularly quick. None of his laps were faster than MV’s on same tyre. Yes there is 9 laps worth of fuel difference so hard to compare but […]
Ivan Vinitskyy commented on the post, Perez signs new, two-year Red Bull deal 8 months, 1 week ago
@petebaldwin He’s doing the right things… signing the contract and getting / staying at the top team. It’s the happiness bit that’s bothering me, because no driver should be this happy when the most important […]

You get consistently beaten by your teammate and you’re happy? I don’t think 80% of the grid would be happy with that kind of career.
Ivan Vinitskyy commented on the post, Perez shows he's no number two by mastering treacherous Monaco 8 months, 1 week ago
He could have been number 3 and still won, winning means very little in Monaco when it comes to driver achievements.
As a driver you only really need to not crash in the race and qualify well. He didn’t qualify […]Ivan Vinitskyy commented on the post, The advice from Mercedes which persuaded Hamilton not to make Safety Car pit stop "gamble" 9 months ago
@red-andy They were covering themselves. They knew he wasn’t going to keep George behind either way but if Ham chooses then a) he loses track position because he chose it himself or b) he loses it on track […]
Ivan Vinitskyy commented on the post, The advice from Mercedes which persuaded Hamilton not to make Safety Car pit stop "gamble" 9 months ago
16 lap old hards are only 0.4sec per lap faster than new Mediums? That was clearly not true, even if you remove warm up laps which were required after SC restart… so Ham was making a choice based on poor information.

Ivan Vinitskyy commented on the post, 2022 Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix race result 9 months, 2 weeks ago
@rinodina I know results don’t show it but it really didn’t look any different between 4th and 14th in terms of pace or racecraft. Russel got 4th but how many positions did he really contribute towards? I count […]
Ivan Vinitskyy commented on the post, Hamilton slates 'silly, nonsense comments' suggesting he may leave Mercedes 9 months, 2 weeks ago
@proesterchen He isn’t God, noone is… nobody is expected to always be better. These are the best drivers and maybe George is the next Ham / Ver… in any case its too early too tell. It takes a lot of races to […]
Ivan Vinitskyy commented on the post, Hamilton slates 'silly, nonsense comments' suggesting he may leave Mercedes 9 months, 2 weeks ago
@proesterchen What damage exactly? It takes Magnussen to come into a team and just drive a good car. It takes much more to get a bad car and work on turning it into good. That’s what Ham is trying to do, why is […]
