Also. Drivers took more and more risks now with asphalt runaways. This was pretty clear on Hubert crash.
It’s cool to discuss if the walls could be 1km away from the track and if every wall could be p […]
JCCJCC commented on the post, The urgent questions F1 must answer following Grosjean's fireball crash 2 years, 2 months ago
Yep. I think there’s only one incident of somebody hitting a car parked, in 1980 with regazzoni.
In dry weather there’s in absolutely no risk in leaving a car parked like Bottas was in Brazil last year. […]
JCCJCC commented on the post, The urgent questions F1 must answer following Grosjean's fireball crash 2 years, 2 months ago
I think they shouldn’t have done none of that. They should just leave the car where it was, the risk of that was much smaller than the risk of packing the cars all together. Due to that we have a much more serious […]
JCCJCC commented on the post, The urgent questions F1 must answer following Grosjean's fireball crash 2 years, 2 months ago
I’ve been saying this for a long time.
The biggest risk in F1 right now are collisions, not alone accidents.
The risk of collision increases a lot when all the cars are packed together, because that’s when a […]JCCJCC commented on the post, Hamilton: 'Older drivers have a bee in their bonnet about me – maybe one day they 'll get over it' 2 years, 3 months ago
I don’t get the cricticism on Stewart on this. Stewart is basically stating facts, this era is completely different from before. The Mercedes dominance is something never seen before, not because of the gap to […]

I don’t buy for the “We are play safe”. No, you’re not. If the car is close to a guard-rail or to a wall it means you assume there’s no risk of hitting there. Either because the corner speeds around are slow, […]JCCJCC commented on the post, F1 drivers briefed on alternative medical evacuation plan after cancelled sessions 2 years, 3 months ago
If that was 25 years ago, it was the Europe GP of 1995, IMO one of the best races in the last 40 years.
Also, I miss the warm up also, that some driver/team find a completely different and perfect setup and […]JCCJCC commented on the post, F1 drivers impressed by TecPro but concerned over fire in huge F2 crash 2 years, 4 months ago
It’s not logic to compare tecpro with Armco or walls. The comparison should be with tyre barriers, and yes they are slightly better.
The issue in the F2 crash is the time marshals took to help. This is b […]
JCCJCC commented on the post, "Slower" Ferrari only beat us because of Q3 tyre rule – Tost 2 years, 4 months ago
I completely agree with you, but F1 is not managed in order to make sense, it’s managed to what gives gains or not to certain teams.
Although agreeing with you, I don’t understand why teams try to qualify in […]
JCCJCC commented on the post, Russell understands tyre problem which left him "disappointed and worried" after race 2 years, 4 months ago
I really like Russell. I think his qualifying skills is one of the best in F1 right now.
But in race he is being a litle bit disapointing. I think the issue is not really the race trim itself, but the way he […]JCCJCC commented on the post, Bottas grabs Russia win after double penalty for Hamilton 2 years, 4 months ago
Both can be true. Hamilton behavior was stupid and unnecessary, that’s why he got a penalty. He still managed to get 15 points. And he will probably be the world champions because he is right now the best Mercedes driver

Having the safety car line (in Mugello it was in the start/finish line) after a long straight will always cause this kind of behavior. The Safety Car line should be close to a corner (either the last one or the first one).

Completely agree with you.
If Masi was around in the 60s he would be saying:

How I miss Charlie…
So. A big crash happened, he prefers to claim that 12 of the 20 best drivers in the world all did the same miscalculation, but there was nothing else wrong.
Comparing the speed of cars […]JCCJCC commented on the post, Giovinazzi wants restart changes after "really dangerous" crash 2 years, 4 months ago

It would be interesting to learn from this, and close the pitlane everytime there is a SC.
