The idea of these penalties is getting silly and out of hand and needs reigning in. I think I got one for shouting at the tv.
Am not saying bad driving should go unpunished, but was there really much bad driving today????
It used to be a rule that the driver who caused the race stoppage be excluded from the results, or restart…which is fair. However this does not apply to qualifying as per Monaco eg Leclerc…well not yet anyway….
This is the right thing to do and a standing start….will be a nail biting last few laps…
Seb just needs a good race result and his confidence will come back….give him a little more time…he is not dead and buried yet….and I predict in 3 races he will be in front of Stroll in qualifying

Its a yes please…it gave us the best race and viewers and most drivers liked it….as for the race the week after..it was(as usual) dire….
Its a 10….it had everything…I felt drained at the end….Please give George the Bottas car for next year. I am also not clear why Ferrari did not take an engine penalty for Sen, and help him next weekend. Oh […]

He has to be optimistic…but I feel that hand may be too painful to use…but am sure he will try..maybe a lap from the back of the grid and then pit may happen…unless Haas want to try someone else…pleased he […]
Horrendous for Romain…pleased he has survived…a little quiet racewise but possibly the drivers were a little subdued.Poor perez, worthy of a decent drive next season, but stroll still wants to be the next maldonado
joe jopling commented on the post, Racing Point: Pitting Stroll from the lead was the "right call" 10 months, 2 weeks ago
The right call would be to retain Perez for next season instead of Stroll, who could become the reserve driver…it depends if RP want to become serious contenders
Sounds like the best deal for George is to be the reserve driver for next season.
The Williams owing to constraints on development and money is not likely to improve much as they focus on 2022, plus are we […]
joe jopling commented on the post, Vettel trusts Ferrari gives him same car specification as Leclerc 11 months ago
Firstly I am not a huge Vettel fan, but as a follower of Ferrari over the years and looking at how they work, I am pretty sure Vettel will not have the same spec as his team mate…Charles will have the newest of […]
Gave it 8…and think we saw history being made with Lewis….and his all time race victories.
Plenty going on…Perez was outstanding for his team( how they can let him go over a truly poor team mate even […]
joe jopling commented on the post, Russell's future at Williams is not up to Mercedes – Wolff 11 months, 1 week ago
Perez will be paid up the balance of his contract, as the team terminated it. with probably no valid reason.(not often the quicker driver gets the chop)….Russell is a contracted Merc driver, and Merc will […]
I am sure George will be on the grid for Williams next season..However there is limited development that can be done to the car for next season, certainly not a couple of seconds a lap, and the team will be […]
Albon complained that gasly races him too hard??…He was surprised, but we were not…..Time for him to go and Hulk would be a good choice
joe jopling commented on the post, Unwell Stroll sits out final practice at Nurburgring 11 months, 3 weeks ago
Its too close in the constructiors for them to run schumacher…hulk is at the track (nico rosberg confirmed that on sky) so its a done deal….and he is quicker than stroll anyway
The penalties for a change of gearbox etc are because you gain an advantage with a fresher/newer component…(and so far they do not incur penalty points)
