Mercedes, like all teams, need to find constructive narratives to explain why they’re not winning every race. This is why the press conferences are largely full of meaningless tripe.
jhg103 commented on the post, Hamilton confounds his detractors again as Mercedes reverse early-season slump 22 hours, 50 minutes ago
As honourable as his recent achievements have been this year let’s be honest, it’s largely down to Ferrari’s ineptitude/unreliability and Perez’s fading form.

Best case scenario, whomever replaces Riccardo beats Norris and upsets the team balance.
Worst case he’s as bad as Riccardo and everyone laments all that wasted time and money.
Worst of all, there’s a pretty […]

I know Piastri is confident but nudging McLaren to drop Riccardo and putting himself up against Norris as a rookie sounds like a recipe for career suicide.
If I were Alpine/McLaren, I’d be looking to farm him […]
jhg103 commented on the post, Vettel announces he will retire from Formula 1 at the end of 2022 2 weeks, 4 days ago
It’s a desperately sad reality that humans are more likely to remember people’s faults than their strengths.
He won in a STR, dominated whole seasons in a RBR, drove superbly at FER but because of a handful of […]

That Ferrari pressure and toxicity that destroyed Vettel is now destroying Leclerc.
jhg103 commented on the post, Hamilton says he hasn't backed down in row with FIA over jewellery 3 months, 1 week ago
Sometimes Lewis just doesn’t behave like a 7 times world champion and hence doesn’t deserve the respect that comes with it.
Anyone that takes part in sport knows that body jewellery comes off before the dobok, […]

It all just reads like typical American superficial nonsense.
Why have a real marina when we can just have a pretend one? Why have real wildlife when we can just have speakers that play wildlife sounds?
Fast […]
jhg103 commented on the post, Hamilton won't remove "welded in" earrings despite FIA's reminder to drivers 4 months ago
Yeah it’s simply down to medical impediment and/or reactive reasons e.g. a tractotomy through a helmet is probably a lot harder with a gold necklace to navigate around, likewise an MRI.
jhg103 commented on the post, Hamilton won't remove "welded in" earrings despite FIA's reminder to drivers 4 months ago
Some drivers have such inflated egos that they can’t help thinking they’re above the sport’s rules.
I’d laugh my socks off if he gets a DSQ for not adhering to these pretty basic rules.

It’s just tiresome attention seeking from F1’s greatest ever drama queen.

He’s like that person we all know that just likes to have a constant drama going on around them. Tears on Tuesday, top of the world on Friday, divorce on Sunday etc and it’s all publicly played out to everyone else’s groans.
jhg103 commented on the post, Capito hopes Hamilton will return to take on Russell at Mercedes 6 months, 2 weeks ago
Yes, this diva-drama-queen disappearing act is a bit tiresome. Just say if you’re coming back so your team can plan accordingly.

Let’s be honest, he was put in a ridiculously difficult position with a stopwatch counting down the laps. Any decision would have been criticised.
What he chose to do no-doubt shafted Lewis. To end the […]

The stuff about him from Toto about considering his future? The way he unfollowed everyone on social media? The deafening silence?
I suppose if it’s made him and his diva ego go away then I can’t complain.
jhg103 commented on the post, FIA to reveal findings of inquiry into Abu Dhabi restart row in February 7 months ago
Remember when everyone laughed at Vettel being dramatic about the Canada 2019 decision?
Hamilton’s diva tantrums and unwillingness to face the music makes Seb look like a gentleman.
jhg103 commented on the post, Are Mercedes really planning to switch back from a black to silver livery? 7 months, 1 week ago
The black looks(ed?) great but in my opinion, this is a well-judged shift away from being Team-Lewis-Hamilton back to Team-Mercedes.
jhg103 commented on the post, Will you watch every race of F1's longest-ever season? 7 months, 1 week ago
Totally agree – I rarely watch them live because several other more important things happen at 1pm UK time on a Sunday. F1 will never win that battle.
The problem with not watching the races live is it’s nearly […]
