Enjoying these mid-season rankings, thanks.
One suggestion: For some reason, I find the graph at the start of the “race by race” section incredibly hard to decipher. I know it should be easy to figure out that […]
KaIIe commented on the post, How to lose a season in 10 races: Ferrari's staggering reversal in fortunes 1 week, 3 days ago
I wholeheartedly supported Leclerc during the first few races of the year, because I wanted to see a good championship battle between him and Verstappen. Now, for the latter half of the year, I think I’ll just […]
KaIIe commented on the post, Mercedes should "keep open mind" over unique car concept – Russell 1 week, 6 days ago
Zandvoort has some high speed corners plus the two banked corners, making loads in the tyres quite heavy. I’m guessing Pirelli plays it safe.
KaIIe commented on the post, Hamilton might have won if we hadn't "screwed up" with DRS – Wolff 2 weeks ago
F1 is if spelled backwards, but yes, Hamilton would have been closer in the mix from the start. However, looking how good Verstappen was today, I find it hard to believe the Mercedes could have finished ahead.

The NASCAR/iRacing co-operation is really interesting. F1 could use something like that in the future: just laser scan a suggested route in a city and see if it works in a simulation, if not, then make some […]
Thanks to this round-up, I learned what a “space hopper” is.

Is this the first time Mercedes are running someone else in practice than their race drivers?

Two updates in one: the first and the last for this season :)

Depends where you live. In the US, yes, lucking out means good things, but in British English, not so much.
KaIIe commented on the post, Perez surprised Russell "couldn't control" his car better in collision 1 month ago
I agree with the F1TV commentary, this was a slam dunk racing incident. While Russell did understeer slightly after hitting the inside kerb, Perez had tons of space on the outside but decided to turn in too eagerly.
KaIIe commented on the post, Sainz's victory means more than half the F1 grid are race-winners 1 month, 1 week ago
Depends how you count. For example, the 1978 Belgian GP had 15 (!) GP winners on the grid. If you count only the drivers who actually started the race (24), the percentage is pretty high, but if you take into […]
“[S]everal people attempted to enter the track” attempted? They did enter it and sat in the middle of the track.
KaIIe commented on the post, Leclerc must keep usual Baku drama in his mirrors to "finish the job" from pole 2 months ago
Should be an “easy” win for either of the Red Bulls. Just stay close enough to Leclerc in the opening laps and then pass with the straight line speed advantage. Hopefully I’m wrong and we get a good scrap at the front.
Voted for MotoGP, but there definitely isn’t a graphics package that shines on all areas.
KaIIe commented on the post, Perez and Verstappen have same chance to win title – Horner 2 months, 2 weeks ago
As the old saying goes, you are only as good as your last race. The current form of Perez reminds me a bit of Coulthard in the 2000 season: a second driver that finds a bit more extra boost and challenges the […]

“Q1 red flag did not appear on system, says Williams’ Robson”
Yup, it was also missing from the onscreen graphics for some 30 seconds.
So, Horner is saying “because we can’t do it, this rule should be removed.”
