KaIIe commented on the post, "A win is a win" says Wolff as Mercedes halt Red Bull's victory run 4 days, 13 hours ago
Guessing: I think the message wasn’t played entirely on the world feed, and Hamilton might’ve asked something before asking for the correct menu for the situation. Perhaps he wanted to see the gap/delta to Leclerc […]
KaIIe commented on the post, Flying Verstappen fastest by far in only practice session before qualifying 1 week ago
Well, we only had three races in July in 2020, so it was still rather open :)
I’m highly sceptical but still somewhat open-minded about this format. Let’s test it and then (hopefully) throw it in the bin along with the horrible 2016 qualifying thing.
One positive side is the change in […]
KaIIe commented on the post, Mazepin and Latifi given 30s penalties, Raikkonen 20s, others cleared 2 weeks, 5 days ago
Having looked at the accident multiple times, it is pretty clear that Räikkönen turns in on Vettel. If you compare the position of Vettel’s car to the inside white line of the corner, it stays constant, while R […]
KaIIe commented on the post, Igora Drive to replace Sochi as home of Russian Grand Prix in 2023 3 weeks, 6 days ago
What is this, first some good changes to Abu Dhabi and now we are getting rid of Sochi, one of the worst tracks on the calendar? Yay!
KaIIe commented on the post, Bottas doubts he'll be penalised for "normal mistake" after spinning in pits 4 weeks ago
Weird spin indeed. Does anyone know if the procedure is just to floor it as the car leaves the pitbox and let the electronics (e.g. speed limiter) handle the wheelspin?
KaIIe commented on the post, French GP result was "solid" and "definitely needed" – Ricciardo 4 weeks ago
Wasn’t there some news a few days/weeks ago that the official title will be just “Sprint”, i.e. dropping the qualifying/race title completely.
KaIIe commented on the post, Todt not convinced by Formula 1's 'Sprint' race plan 1 month ago
There has been plenty of speculation that calling it officially a race would cause some complications to the current TV deals, hence the weird terminology.
Good question. Compare this to large incidents in the past: when Webber did his flip in Valencia, the SC was deployed before the car even reached the barriers.
Fair punishment, horrible communication error by the team. I have no idea why they thought that “stay out” would mean to drive into the pitlane without stopping, instead of staying out on the track.
KaIIe commented on the post, Tsunoda and Sainz explain double crash which ended qualifying 1 month, 2 weeks ago
I’m guessing Sainz thought he didn’t have that much damage, but the team told him on the radio that the front wing was stuck underneath the car, and he stopped immediately.
KaIIe commented on the post, Ricciardo: Post-Monaco sim work paying off in Baku 1 month, 2 weeks ago
COTD: Please no Fuji. Tilke ruined the track with the 2007 changes. The last sector is about as bad as Yas Marina; i.e. hard to imagine anything worse for an F1 car.

Regarding the Miami Herald piece, are the environmental impact assessment documents available for the public anywhere?
Some weird concerns regarding the race in Miami. I’m pretty sure air pollution (from traffic) goes down, as the streets will be closed instead of open to cars 24/7.
KaIIe commented on the post, Leclerc fears he missed "one-off" chance for 2021 win in Monaco 1 month, 4 weeks ago
I’d say Singapore might be another chance (though it is unclear if the race will happen or not).
KaIIe commented on the post, Driveshaft on Leclerc's car not checked after crash – Binotto 2 months ago
On the Finnish broadcast, Ossi Oikarinen said something along the lines that since the cars are in parc fermé, you can only check the parts you have a reason to believe have damage. Since Leclerc crashed with his […]
KaIIe commented on the post, Monaco Grand Prix is "never exciting" and format must change, says Hamilton 2 months ago
“It’s a one-stop race with these hard, long stints that we get to do. ” So, change the tyres. Make them rock hard (sliding all over the place) or super soft, making them last 1/3 of the race.
KaIIe commented on the post, McLaren drivers back NASCAR-style 'throwback' race for retro liveries 2 months, 1 week ago
Pretty sure it’s just me, but that Gulf colour scheme looks slightly off. Maybe it’s just the lighting of the studio photos, but the colours don’t exactly match the classic cars on my screen.
