Keith Campbell commented on the post, Stroll's problem has been bad luck, not poor performance – Alonso 4 days, 17 hours ago
Stroll has had more good luck than bad this season. In Australia he beached himself in the gravel all by himself on the second last restart and would have had another no score, but was saved by the red flag which […]

Keith Campbell commented on the post, Russell didn't "pressure" Mercedes to let him past Hamilton 1 week ago
Its a hypothetical comment, but it makes sense. He’s saying that if the results were spread around more, i.e with different people finishing ahead of him each time, then with the same results he would be leading […]

Keith Campbell commented on the post, 2023 Monaco Grand Prix grid 1 week, 2 days ago
Aston has been 2-3 tenths slower than the RB through the final sector all weekend. When I saw Max was only 2 tenths down at end of sector 2, I figured he had the pole. Sky commentators made the same mistake […]

Can’t wait to see who brings out a yellow or red to secure their grid position in this year’s qualifying.

Keith Campbell commented on the post, 2023 Miami Grand Prix weekend F1 driver ratings 4 weeks ago
Fair enough, but Sainz finished over 16 seconds behind Alonso, while Alonso was coasting and had nothing to push for (Alonso scored the 2nd fastest lap of the race behind Verstappen on his final lap, so clearly […]

Keith Campbell commented on the post, 2023 Miami Grand Prix weekend F1 driver ratings 4 weeks ago
Leclerc finished 7th in the Ferrari which was probably 4th best car over the weekend. Stroll finished 12th in probably the 2nd best car over the weekend. I know Leclerc also wrecked a car, but it seems odd that […]

Keith Campbell commented on the post, Crowd's boos "absolutely fine as long I stand on the top" – Verstappen 4 weeks, 1 day ago
Completely agree with CoTD. DRS seemed about right in Miami for the majority of the grid. Nobody will fight the RBs this season and they have the best DRS system, so they will always breeze past other cars easily […]

Keith Campbell commented on the post, Rate the race: 2023 Miami Grand Prix 4 weeks, 1 day ago
Fairly decent race due to a few cars out of position and ok different tyre strategies. Glad there was no safety car/vsc/red flag interruption which often kills the strategy and puts everyone on the same tyres to the end.

Keith Campbell commented on the post, Perez on pole, Verstappen ninth as Leclerc crash ends qualifying 1 month ago
I don’t see why. There are another 18 races to go after this one. Verstappen is heavy, heavy favourite to win the championship by a comfortable margin by the end of the year, regardless of the result here. The l […]

Keith Campbell commented on the post, Perez on pole, Verstappen ninth as Leclerc crash ends qualifying 1 month ago
@leeroy I think it’s beyond time that some rule along these lines is implemented. This wasn’t a particularly egregious example, but it now happens in Monaco more often than not, which is a shame since in Mon […]

Keith Campbell commented on the post, Magnussen confirmed in fourth as stewards take no action over Hamilton incident 1 month ago
@brightlampshade That was my thought too, but seeing as Hamilton was the one who clipped the wall and he didn’t hit Magnussen, it seemed a but unnecessary to even investigate it. These near misses happen quite […]

Well, with this grid and the chance of rain, if the race isn’t at least somewhat interesting then there is no hope for this track.

Keith Campbell commented on the post, Quirk of new rules means no Q3 for Norris and Tsunoda on Saturday 1 month, 1 week ago
@sjaakfoo I’d be surprised if they made such a fundamental mistake on new regulations which are all anyone’s talked about all weekend. More likely they weighed up the pros and cons and decided it was better to use […]

Keith Campbell commented on the post, Evans heads Jaguar one-two in Berlin after 23 lead changes 1 month, 2 weeks ago
@pinakghosh Yeah it’s the first FE race I’ve watched in a while, so I guess they aren’t all like this, but something definitely feels off when you see drivers actually backing out of the lead because they want to […]

Keith Campbell commented on the post, Mercedes plan spate of car upgrades in bid to cut Red Bull's lead 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Yeah but a random person being “pretty sure” about something, doesn’t make it either true or provable. And it would need to be both to have any consequences.

Keith Campbell commented on the post, I spoke up for Hamilton because he speaks up for others says fan behind Abu Dhabi petition 1 month, 2 weeks ago
If there was any fraud committed in that race, it was by Masi. Can’t blame Redbull for arguing their case as it was within the rules for them to do so, and certainly can’t blame Verstappen for taking the […]

Keith Campbell commented on the post, Steiner annoyed by lack of apology from race director over COTA protest error 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Re Cotd. The thing about the incident vs consequence argument, is that the consequences are often taken into account in determining penalties, despite what the stewards and maybe the rules say. And in fact, it […]

Keith Campbell commented on the post, All F1 teams back plan to change sprint format for Azerbaijan GP – Vasseur 1 month, 4 weeks ago
@diezcilindros I think the fact that the teams unanimously agreed negates a lot of the practical issues you outlined. If any of the teams disagreed, then I would concur that it isn’t fair to change the format in […]

Keith Campbell commented on the post, I still love F1 but don't like driving 'not-great' cars – Hamilton 1 month, 4 weeks ago
@rbalonso Couldn’t agree more. I think part of the problem with the 2012 discourse is that people tend to argue on both extreme ends of the spectrum. Either the Ferrari was fully competitive and on the pace, or it […]

Keith Campbell commented on the post, I still love F1 but don't like driving 'not-great' cars – Hamilton 1 month, 4 weeks ago
@f1frog I think there’s a few reasons for that. One is DRS as you mentioned which enables faster cars to easily regain position if they find themselves behind for whatever reason, meaning that defending from a […]
