@mach1 Yeah clearly there is more emphasis on things that are more common in American broadcasting in an effort to capture a larger market share. And the results have actually been pretty good so far. F1’s v […]

@mach1 – Perez was under investigation for going off the track when he overtook Bottas so they kept him out to see what happened. They announced “no further action ” just as Verstappen was crossing the line so too […]
@mach1 I disagree about needing a reference from this car to next, but even if you’re right, they can’t get that from LH?
To me it only makes fully perfect sense to start GR off in the new car next year whe […]
@mach1 I’m not sure if they would need to do this for a three weekend trial this season, but perhaps if this were to become the new norm next year and onwards they could be allowed another pu and transmission p […]
@mach1 Still details to follow on that but I’m sure they would make allowances for that with the teams. I’m confident the teams would bring this up in their meetings and they’d all sort issues such as you raise out.

It’s not everyone @mach1. Anyway according to PdR it was Valtteri’s choice to run second, for the evolution, so it was a risk he chose. If he’d been confident of being faster he’d have run first, then it’d have […]
yeah. And both guys also did some spinning to add to the fun, right @mach1

@mach1 Exactly he had to manage his tyres. Bottas was on the softs while Hamilton and Verstappen both opted for the correct (medium) tyres.
@mach1 That isn’t the stewards’ point though – they said he should have done it well before the straight.

@mach1 Same here, and that’s because this incident happened outside the world feed footage, and was never shown even as a replay later.
@mach1 Exactly. In fact last season Bottas stated the opposite about Hamilton always exctracting the maximum performance:
“Whatever the conditions are – wind, temperature, wet or dry – he seems to be very adapt […]

@mach1 – I think it’ll be a bit of both. Use spec 1 in Monaco (and Singapore?), where PU performance isn’t that big a deal and take a penalty.
3 PUs in a season means making each one last 7 races.
4 PUs in a […]

@mach1 He had a great start, but the key thing in him getting that result was Giovinazzi holding up Norris, Albon etc. Without that, he wouldn’t have finished in the points.
bosyber commented on the post, Perez: Stroll a tougher team mate than Ocon on race pace 2 years, 7 months ago
@mach1 It’s partly that he had a great start, as he tends to have had, and partly that with a bit of luck with his strategy, a solid car, good defensive driving and a hard to overtake on track, he didn’t slide […]
@mach1 I’m no fan of this reiteration, but the Lewis is certainly one of the best of all the times in the sport and Nico is the only one who managed to beat him. If I’ll ever kill a dragon you’ll end up hearing me […]
How about we look at it differently. If Rubens had beaten Schumacher is say 2002, would you hold it against him if he kept talking about it?
Lewis has been declared by most people on this site and […]
