Except Hamilton had earned the win by dominating the race.
Race control wouldn’t have determined who won the championship either way… until they decided to not apply the rules evenly and fairly, by letting […]
Talby commented on the post, Hamilton praises Dutch GP fans amid boos after Verstappen pips him to pole 4 months, 2 weeks ago
@bernasaurus I really think your viewpoint of booing being almost a compliment is perverse. By nature, booing is disrespectful.
You don’t believe anyone being booed has ever had to wonder what the intention […]
I take it this means teams won’t be getting on the radio with Michael Masi anymore to tell him who they think is on the wrong side of a collision?
Hearing teams lobby – and there was lobbying from both Mercedes […]

@jerejj But then there’s F1 TV.
Talby commented on the post, Haas's Russian-coloured F1 car skirts ban on country's flag in sport 10 months, 3 weeks ago
@coldfly It’s not in the spirit of the ban, and, therefore, cynical. They’re not being subtle about it either.
Would they even have used these colors if not for the ban? I doubt it, as Uralkali’s business isn’t […]
Talby commented on the post, Mazepin will not say whether he apologised to woman in grope video 10 months, 3 weeks ago
Because he clearly doesn’t believe he’s done any harm, speaking mostly in terms of public perception. Leaving such disrespect unanswered means normalizing it.
He chose to share it with the world after all.
Talby commented on the post, Hamilton's knighthood gives him and his sport deserved and overdue recognition 1 year ago
This isn’t really about Hamilton or the sport; it’s “For God and the Empire”. This being an empire which enslaved or otherwise oppressed millions for centuries.
What meaning can this have today but to serve as […]
Talby commented on the post, Norris apologises following Stroll and Hamilton comments 1 year, 2 months ago
@chrisr1718 How boorish. It’s how he said it.
He devalued his competitors’ achievements based on the failings of the latter’s rivals, which includes the team Norris himself drives for.
Having standards […]

Talby commented on the post, Norris explains decision to shelve "inappropriate" Belgian GP helmet design 1 year, 4 months ago
I’m Flemish, and I personally don’t see why the design should be a problem given the context in which it’s being used. Norris’ intentions were apolitical. Surely that should be all that matters?
It being a video game is beside the point. He was dishonest; he mislead people. People who don’t see any wrongdoing have no standards.
Expect predatory microtransaction schemes. Frontier love exploiting their fanbase.
When you say Amazon fires are seasonal, you don’t mean to say they’re natural do you? Because the rainforest is being destroyed by man, and the context in which that is happening matters, doesn’t it?

People are so selfish.
It’s in bad taste. Period.

“Britishness.” What a ridiculous word. Rio Ferdinand could be rebuking the media for asking such questions at all. Instead he reinforces their chauvinism saying: “He’s One Of Our Own.” Which is to say anyone who […]
