Wow, that’s a surprise. Will be interesting to see what he can do.
But why should he, and he alone be liable? Surely it would be fair for all the drivers to “pony up”.
Or alternatively, it’s a ridiculous suggestion.

@euitdebos – That’s fascinating. Thanks for that; it’s always interesting to see the subtle differences in language. I hope erikje is paying attention here.
It’s really quite nice to get a proper interview with Kimi as it’s really rare he ever gives much. He’s a fascinating guy.
He missed the title due to the woeful reliability of his McLaren if I recall. The title was a lot closer than the points give it credit for.
As painful as that is, it’s a barn door disqualification. I just feel incredibly sorry for the team.
That was a absolutely phenomenal drive from Ocon. Managed to get through the carnage unscathed and simply didn’t put a single foot wrong the entire race. A bit of luck with Seb’s slow pitstop, but all credit to […]

Mouse_Nightshirt commented on the post, Why Hamilton "wasn't seen as wholly to blame" for the Verstappen crash 1 year ago
I think this is definitely one of the most justifiably balanced views of this subject. There has been far too much heat in this debate, and I, for one, think the stewards got this decision bang on. Lewis got lucky […]

I think Karun is the only person looking at this with a cool head. I think his analysis was spot on.
I err towards more of the blame leaning Lewis, but not to the extent I think it’s any more than a racing incident.

You can’t compare Spanish Flu. If they had the same treatment options and modern facilities we have, the fatality rate would have been much, much lower.

48,553 people were PCR +ve for COVID yesterday. Even if we’re generous and don’t include the folks who didn’t get tested, 0.4% fatality rate means that 194 of them will die. And that’s just from yesterday’s […]
Oh absolutely, I’ve massively generalised here. I’ve just seen so many knee-jerk responses over the years which has led to my current view. I am entirely open to the notion that many folk don’t think […]
I’m still not sure if I like the idea or not, but I do know avid F1 fans, especially those like myself who have been following for decades are highly resistant to change. For every major change in the rules, the […]
And he was ahead right up until T10 as well. I’ve always said Norris has been overlooked to an extent and that his affable, jokey antics off track have swayed people to thinking he isn’t as good as he is. I think […]

I really feel for Danny. He’s a top tier driver clearly stuck in a no-mans land setup wise. It’s clear the car is capable of more, but he’s really struggling to find his way in.
I think this is also speaking […]
OK for Monaco. But in comparison to other tracks on the calendar, racing was simply non-existent and dull to watch. A (very generous) 4.
I’m going to see how the race goes next year with the new regs, but if […]
