Renault stopped being a régie in 1996, when it was privatised.
Would Vettel at RP stop making the repeated rookie errors that have plagued him since 2017? Or should RP get the best two drivers, Hulk and Perez, which would also be the most cost efficient pairing?

Any evidence to back that up ? They seem to cheat far less than Ferrari of late.

Different drivers adapt at different paces so it’s too early to write him off – he will be within 2 tenths of Max by June I think.

I was thinking the same. Father and son are other both deluded or totally lack self awareness. I suspect both actually. It’s an embarrassment not just for them but for the wider “sport”.
Less front mechanical grip means longer braking distance and slower turn in, promoting overtaking. The aero will be addressed separately, and hopefully successfully!

I feel that the improvement is essentially due to Leclerc as the delta vs last year would have been significantly lower if they merely relied on Ericsson’s contribution, and I mean sporting not financial contribution.

Cheers for that insight. That would make a lot of sense – they’re testing his resilience first and then his pace, it all sounds rational.

Stop moaning, he won’t be in F1 next year as Williams are keeping the clearly better of their two current drivers.

Loving the Perez-Ocon delta, basically nothing between them.
It’s not a mentality, it’s a view point that there are many shades of grey between “life isn’t fair” and bank rolling experience.
Yes talented but who can forget the almost unlimited private track sessions over the past 3 seasons. Surely, it does help and probably shouldn’t be allowed. If it’s not allowed in F1, why would it be allowed somewhere else ?

What’s the background to Massa’s retirement ? Why would Williams prefer a lesser driver if Kubica is not retained ?
It wouldn’t make much sense nor seems very pragmatic.

Indeed – 2018 could be a special year if Renault can find a few more reliable ponnies !
