@ofitus21 I agree with you on MGU-H, but don’t quite get how 4WD would necessarily make cars heavier.
Alianora La Canta commented on the post, F1 can use Bahrain's short track but not Silverstone's – Masi 1 year, 3 months ago
@ofitus21 The highest-powered category (which F1 is in, and pretty much nothing else in Europe) has a cap of 30 cars anyway, even at a place like Shanghai where the raw calculations would probably allow 40+ cars. […]
Roger Ayles commented on the post, F1 shelves reverse-grid qualifying race plan again 1 year, 3 months ago
@ofitus21 It was removed because fans on the track got to see very little on track action, but for TV it was brilliant. I thought it was just as horrendously dull to watch on TV as it was at the track.

@ofitus21 Changes in conditions just made it so unsportmanlike. If you have a late slot for quali and it starts to rain in the middle of quali there’s nothing you can do.
That’s why I’m happy to see it gone.
BasCB commented on the post, Teams should have helped Vettel and Stroll avoid Ascari incidents – Masi 2 years ago
As you say, the difference is, that a spotter on an Oval can see the whole track. In F1 they rely on gps data to discern where everyone is @ofitus21. They already have engineers watching those positions. They only […]
@ofitus21 The problem with reducing (Or even completely removing) Friday practice is that it then makes it far less worthwhile to attend a race weekend, Especially those you have to travel outside your home […]
Jere commented on the post, Was Shanghai the right place for the 1,000th race? 2 years, 5 months ago
@ofitus21 Maybe, but Shanghai is a bit too cool for F1’s liking in late-March in which the race would’ve taken place had the dates of it and Bahrain been swapped for this season. The further into the spring a race […]
Aleš Norský commented on the post, Was Shanghai the right place for the 1,000th race? 2 years, 5 months ago
It certainly looks like an opportunity lost, especially since F1 seemed to be focused on the 1000th race for some time, as already noted above by @ofitus21. Maybe 1000th World Championship Grand Prix could be […]
@ofitus21 Too early to judge. We can’t know for sure beforehand whether it’s going to be too powerful with the current lengths of the already existing zones of the S/F straight and the straight between T10 and T11 […]
Michael commented on the post, What Perez's shock decision tells us about Force India's uncertain future 3 years, 1 month ago
@ofitus21 really? that would make sense in the US market too and it would broaden viewership – plus people wouldn’t have to check the calendar for races which is fine for fans but not that friendly for normal […]
petebaldwin commented on the post, Third DRS zone added to increase overtaking at Albert Park 3 years, 6 months ago
@ofitus21 Totally agree. P2P works because it relies on the drivers to use it at the right time. If someone can save theirs up, they can attack at the end but if it’s used at the wrong time, it can be wasted. DRS […]
