I don’t buy this shash about Max being ‘under pressure to perform’ at Zandvoort. He knows he has the current best car on the grid and he just ran away with the race. Yes, he executed it perfectly (well done him) […]

In my opinion, the moment overtaking driver has wheels alongside rear wheels of the lead driver, the lead driver should leave space. Be it outside, inside, wherever. If space is not there and they crash automatic […]
@keithedin By ‘consequences’, they are talking about either material damages (i.e. the cost of repairing the cars, which was brought up by Ferrari and Red Bull this year because of the budget cap) or the current […]

@hahostolze Once again, ‘predominantly’ is not ‘entirely’.

The ‘doing enough’ is literally cancelling F1.
The problem with ‘those types’ in any green movement is they ignore the big picture for ideological puritanism.
Most Green political parties oppose fossil fue […]
No, really, it should be at the END of the season. They’re all used to the concept of getting their prize money drip-fed throughout the year thanks to Bernie’s chicanery.
They need to budget appropriately […]
But 8 of the 10 F1 teams account for their spending in GBP, as they are incorporated as UK businesses, so saying ‘€ & $ are more popular’ is irrelevant.
@rocketpanda Maybe consider that the only party that considers it lobbying is the side who stands to gain by the other side being sanctioned?
@rocketpanda …but the crux of the matter is, when you post monkey emoji’s or call him the N-word in response to his actions, then people are going to believe it’s racism.
You don’t *accidentally* use these […]
And I also don’t understand why race is relevant It’s obviously relevant enough for a subset of the racing community to use it as a pejorative.
I’m not sure… The sort of ‘English Fan’ you describe is more likely to attack Hamilton (and probably not because he didn’t win either)!
@palindnilap Pirelli have nothing to hide – they produce tyres to the requested specification and don’t seem overly interested in their image as a result, otherwise they would have left the sport after the 2013 […]
Optimaximal commented on the post, Perez and Vettel triumph on day disaster struck their team mates 3 months, 2 weeks ago
The tyres this year are the new design – The teams tried to veto them again but the FIA agreed with Pirelli’s case that the older-spec tyres were unsafe with the amount of downforce being generated so the change happened.
Optimaximal commented on the post, Mercedes still unable to remove wheel from Bottas' car 4 months ago
@peartree because in reality the tyres would wear out and he’d be plum last?
@tifoso1989 But RP didn’t intentionally break any rules with their tracing paper car, because there was no rule that prevented them from doing so right up until there was…. They only fell foul of a technicality […]
@tifoso1989 This is the point. If *they* initiate the investigations, they know they’ll spend ages being run around in circles by the teams or just end up being accused of selective bias.
If they encourage all […]
It’s not, because the rule, as it’s written, effectively states ‘your wings must not flex beyond X when subject to a standard load test’.
There’s no written rule explaining or mandating what tension and […]
@barryfromdownunder Did you lobby the FIA when they introduced the qualifying engine-mode ban mid-season last year at the behest of rivals to peg back Mercedes?
I mean, remember how the FIA were lobbied for a mid-season change to the engine regs to ban engine mode changes, forcing teams to run the same mode in qualifying and the race. Who kept asking for that, I wonder…
