Witan – you forgot to mention that the other grant is to the FIA Girls on Track scheme, benefiting economically disadvantaged and ethnic minority women.
Shakey commented on the post, Masi did make mistake with title-deciding Abu Dhabi GP restart, Horner admits 1 month, 1 week ago
@stn Its illegal to gain a lasting advantage by leaving the track, that’s why race control issued the order to give the place back and RBR complied.
Hamilton exceeded track limits at T4 dozen’s of times and was […]Shakey commented on the post, FIA begins investigation into Abu Dhabi restart controversy 6 months, 3 weeks ago
@petebaldwin Spot on, there’s also the Perez/Spa incident when he had to back track after telling RBR that Perez couldn’t restart. There’s a troubling arrogance in Masi. Whiting didn’t get everything right, but he […]
Shakey commented on the post, Is Hamilton really having second thoughts about his F1 future after Abu Dhabi debacle? 7 months, 2 weeks ago
@aapje Thanks for explaining, i understand your point now. As you say, it’s more a case of ‘the Wolff that cried Wolf’ and the media whipping it up into a bigger narrative. Sensibly, Lewis is keeping out of it.

@aapje What statement has he made? Did i miss something?
Shakey commented on the post, Race-by-race: How Hamilton and Verstappen kept putting the stewards on the spot 7 months, 2 weeks ago
erikje – Technically you are correct – Max was ahead when he left the track, but only because he carried too much speed and couldn’t make the corner. And you can’t argue that he only went off because Hamilton ran […]
Shakey commented on the post, Race-by-race: How Hamilton and Verstappen kept putting the stewards on the spot 7 months, 2 weeks ago
OOliver – Yes, that’s how i recall it; they amended the T4 rule for the race if i remember correctly. The only overtake at T4 i recall was when Max overtook Lewis off track and was instructed to give the place back.
Shakey commented on the post, Race-by-race: How Hamilton and Verstappen kept putting the stewards on the spot 7 months, 2 weeks ago
@aapje The rule didn’t change mid-race. Verstappen complained that Hamilton was running wide so Mercedes informed Hamilton who then started to take a tighter line out of caution. Masi confirmed after the race that […]
Shakey commented on the post, New FIA administration to decide over sanction for Hamilton's prizegiving absence 7 months, 3 weeks ago
Would they be able to sanction him if he claimed he had concerns over Covid at such a large indoor gathering?
Shakey commented on the post, New FIA administration to decide over sanction for Hamilton's prizegiving absence 7 months, 3 weeks ago
What a refreshing change from the former FIA President – someone who finally understands the importance of consistency so remains tone-deaf to how a good majority of neutrals perceived recent events, but […]
Shakey commented on the post, Hamilton was "robbed" of championship win by F1 race director Masi – Wolff 7 months, 3 weeks ago
In most organisations Masi’s job would be untenable given the size of the clusterf#@ck he’s created. If he and the FIA decide he can ride this thing out, he’ll have to be completely unambiguous on every decision […]

They should have hired you Alan and saved themselves a fortune in legal fees.
Shakey commented on the post, Home win Verstappen's highlight of 2021 campaign 7 months, 3 weeks ago
I’m looking at it from the perspective that Mercedes argued there had been a breach of Article 48.12, which if upheld would/could subsequently change the result. It’s semantics, but they are essentially […]

@skipgamer I don’t agree entirely. Mercedes could play both sides of the coin:
a) Position the appeal to the effect that they do not intend for the result of the WDC title to be overturned, therefore saving […]Shakey commented on the post, 'We won it on-track and they'll never take that away from me' – Verstappen 7 months, 3 weeks ago
Everyone knew the procedure. Most were surprised when the unusual call came to not allow lapped car’s through. Everyone was stunned when he cleared only the cars between HAM and VER and start the race without the […]
Shakey commented on the post, FIA: Abu Dhabi GP row 'tarnishing the image of F1 and celebration of Verstappen's title' 7 months, 3 weeks ago
This smacks of the FIA doing a deal with Mercedes so they can avoid the huge embarrassment of having to announce a ‘provisional’ WDC at the FIA prize giving ceremony tomorrow evening.

@sylversurferr So if you’re for not appealing something that happened in the past when new evidence comes to light, should they give Lance Armstrong his TDF wins back, or maybe lift the ban on the RusAF?

@uzsjgb I think the problem with Masi is he blurs the lines between what’s within his remit, and what he thinks should be his role. Not withstanding his snarky retorts, it took Johnathan Wheatley to call him out […]
