Steven replied to the forum topic Will the new engines run at the regulated fuel limit at most times? in the group

Another issue that will arise, is that if we assume that the power curve will pretty much plateau after 10,500 rpm, it means that each upshift could change the gear ratio by a bit more than 1,4 times (from 15,000 […]

The new rules limit the maximum fuel flow at 100 kg/h, but at revs under 10,500, the allowed fuel flow is even lower:
5.1.4 Fuel mass flow must not exceed 100kg/h.
5.1.5 Below 10500rpm the fuel mass flow must […] -
Stjuuv commented on the post, Raikkonen: "Trickier" to get most from new engines 9 years, 4 months ago
I think the rules don’t define a time you can use ERS energy, but rather a set amount of energy per lap – 4000kJ. Used at full power of 120kW, thats 33,3 seconds per lap, but since the ECU will now control the […]

The surface area is measured slightly behind the frontmost tip – I think it was 50 mm behind, so it looks to be OK.

Almost endless amounts of fuel = 100 kg/h or 27,8 g/s under the new regulations.

Apparently, Kimi was out partying in Tallinn, Estonia on Tuesday, and by the looks of it had a rather great time (pic might be unrelated but for illustration). From the wall of Estonian pop singer Koit […]

So even though Red Bull won both championships last year, they still failed to meet their minimum target as defined by you, because they won less races and won the titles by a smaller margin than in 2011?

@bag0
Your murder-analogy has absolutely no basis on reality. The only applicable rules are the ones enforced by tests – if the wing passes the test, it is legal and there are no “ifs and buts”. If the FIA wants […] -
Stjuuv commented on the post, Front wing flex test "trying to stop us" – Vettel 10 years, 2 months ago
The test is the only applicable measure of legality. No matter what the rules say, it is physically impossible to construct a wing that is 100% rigid and nonflexible, there simply are no common or exotic materials […]

If the wing was OK under the old test, but will be illegal under the new one, then the wing has been legal at all times it has been used, no?

The swf file has a section labelled “w04” and the code there is referencing something as “carXML”, where I would assume they will have a gallery of the car. Unfortunately, the only xml file I have located on their […]

Someone that is better at reading code should be able to reverse engineer the location of the pictures. So far I am pretty certain that the images should be located at […]

I wonder if it would be an option in the future to replace all the gearbox and engine grid penalties with removal of constructors points for the race?

It has been said over the last few years that there is not much difference between a wet and dry weather setup, but surely there is a big difference in setups for different air and track temperatures?

Well, since team orders are allowed, it would seem that at least from the sporting point of view, it is not considered inappropriate or harmful. After all, ordering a pass during the race or timing pit stops to […]

It would sure as hell be better than risk losing position to Grosjean and Senna.
