I’d like to talk about Toyota’s weird approach to the test. Are they just “playing games” like Sarazzain said? Or was this a way to hide their hand and somehow circumvent the equivalence of tech rules in order to maintain their obvious advantage?

Well, as a general rule, it’s certainly not good marketing to use death in promotion.
However, This ad doesn’t actually use the footage of the crash and pays more homage to Dale Jnr’s career and the role his father played in it.
